Why do so many of you dislike Paul Oakenfold? Answer seriosly...

I think it has to do with the more recent commercialization of his music and the fact that he takes credit for songs that he doesn't make himself.

he is probably refering to andy gray and osbourne..

well, in the end it dosn't matter much.. as long as the tracks are good listening for us, who cares who made them.. I was serious.. Anyway, Paul Oakenfold is one of my favourites, and so is Tiesto. They've contributed much to if not most to the trance scene.. In the end it's their suffering, people who rip off got no pride you know..

The trance scene is not excactly known for it's originality... Are you guys saying that he one day went to a friends studio, heard this tune and goes making excactly the same tune or what?

I've seen him twice. The first time he was ok, but nothing really out of the ordinary. The second time he was tagteaming with someone else even though the event listing made no mention of that, plus he actually messed up quite a few times and for his final song play Kimodo, which normally would be good, but he caught it off right after the intro - no voices or anything. Weak.

On the other hand, I think his mix cds aren't bad.
