The Classic Euro Track Of The Week!

yes yes, we all know euro went to hell and trance rules but if you lived in toronto between 1993 and 1997, you listened to it, unless you were a hardcore grunge rocker

anyway, everyweek I shall be pulling out a classic euro track to bring back the memories.

This week's classic track is Real McCoy - Runaway

oh gosh, 1994 a group of three came to north america and europe and tore the charts apart. Runaway, Another Night and Automatic Lover and all are still hammered on radio in toronto and in the euro clubs. Oleg and 2 other women, what a song this was, hammered by many. Makes me cry almost because the old euro days when shep played euro and was cool. Dr.trance was still on 103.5fm back then, the days.

anyway I love the song cuz of the simple hook and easy lyrics.

comments?

"if you lived in toronto between 1993 and 1997, you listened to it"

dood i wasnt in torotnot and i heard it as well...3/4 of those tracks are internationally known

Posted by torontotrance on Oct-21-2003 16:26:

cuz euro went international at that time

i still got pirate sessions vol.4

with chris sheppard talking on track 1, from the city of love.....

this was before he nearly died in a plane crash.

yep i'm with "toronto trance" dude. old school euro still is fucking amazing. i'm refering to groups like first base, real mccoy, alexia, 2 brothers, la bouche, etc. The odd time, whenever 1035 decides to play something good and play one of 'em classic euro tracks, everyone just starts getting happy all of a sudden. I still got my collection from like 6 years back! 1.7 gigs big

good post!

Didn't Chris Sheppard have two identities or something? Like his Mainstream guise and his rave guise? During the week he played on mainstream dance stations and here or there did the latest warehouse party in TO?

Correct me if I'm wrong

Mory Kante - Yeke Yeke
