like it alot, very smooth

this is a pretty good remix of Portishead's "Roads", seems like it would be tough to remix well, given the slow tempo.

have you heard:

Guy Gerber & Sahar Z - "Kenny's Back" [Whoop] ?

great tune that samples "Roads"

Isnt it a remix from Sultan and The Greek ? (not tonedepth)

The Greek = Tone Depth.

Kinda sounds like the vocalists Skin! I think her vocal ruins the songs. The guitars are nice, but a dub would make a great song. 5/10

peace.

Portishead - Roads (Sultan And The Greek Remix)

&

Portishead - Roads (Sultan And Tonedepth Remix)

are two different remixes. They sound alike, I
think the Sultan And Tonedepth Remix is a remastered
version of the Sultan And The Greek Remix.

Sultan And The Greek Remix was released on 0801
and the Sultan And Tonedepth Remix was released
on 1019. (talking mp3 overhere)

AvB is spinning Sultan And Tonedepth Remix in his
radioshow and sets, but Tisto stuck with the Sultan
And The Greek Remix.

I like Sultan And Tonedepth Remix best -> 7/10

Sorry, but that is utter shite. Beth Gibbons sounds nothing like Skin, both are fantastic vocalists in their own way.
Go and get yourself a copy of Glory Box and hear how good Portishead were. One of the most influential albums of the 1990s.

My tune of the month!
I love it even the vocals fit so good in this track..

smooth as fuck

Indeed, this tune is smoothness de luxe. Although the tune itself doesn't do much other than adding a nice tribal groove over the original, it turns out to be extremely beautiful, mainly due to Beth Gibbons' fantastic voice (which admittedly is a matter of taste, her voice is kinda special), and those lush guitar chords. Great tune

... one of the most beautiful tracks i have ever heard ...
