In School we were talking about whats the next big think and DvD audio or 5.1 music might be the next big thing. Have a nice bass signal going straight to your subwoofer pretty amazing sound.

Is it impossible to be understood here?

Think, THEN reply! (wtf has this got to do with car-dvd? )

DVD-Audio - Buying DVD's with AUDIO TRACKS! (yes fully possible, I recently bought one, worth the price? nope, you're better of buying a good ol' cd, because the sound's completely the same (frequencies doesn't range any higher anyways)

Yeah I mean like 5.1 surround sound DVD audio, I just bought a DVD audio disk of Linkin Park( only decend dvd audio i could find ). and the way the music sounds in 5.1 is really trippy, best way to listen to music IMO.

It's definately worth it if you've got the stereo system to back it up. Even better, its cheaper than the super-audio format.

I think you have to have a corresponding system with full surround sound speakers including a dvd player which plays audio which just recently started coming out. I read a lot about this and it seems like dvd to cd is what video tape is to dvd. Meaning that dvd tracks are not compressed like cds are meant for true surround sound with I think 6 channels. You can't tell where the sounds come from and it is supposed to sound like a true studio version .

ogg is technically a container format, so yes, i believe it is possible (basically 5 audio streams though)

It's got nothing to do with frequency range!!!

Sample & Bitrates.. 96KHz sample rate and 24 bit on DVD-Audio will give a more accurate representation of the original recording. Have a look at a graph of a digital waveform to see what i mean.

Also surround sound.. DVD-Audio is 5.1 compatible giving you 5.1 individual channels, 3 front, 2 rear and a .1 delivering sub-bass. This will give you a surround feel.. although it wont sound as good as stereo imo!
