Cool Scary Movie 3

I just got back from seeing a sneak preview of this movie. But before I talk about it I got a funny story to tell. Anyway, my friend found out that this girl's mom from his school was inviting 400 people to see this sneak preview so he signed me and my friends up to come along. We got there tonight and there was a bunch of confusion about who was on the list and such. Somehow our names got erased so they weren't going to let us in.

So she told is to wait around for awhile and they might have room. Well while we were waiting we overheard conversation that they were going to start giving leftover tickets to people who had been waiting for hours (remember we just got there). Then they said that the people who don't get tickets can go over to the desk and get a pass to come to see it another day. My friend, the genius that he is, came up with the idea that we'd go over and get a pass then once they started handing out the tickets to the people who have been waiting we'd jump in line. Well it worked out! We got the tickets to see Scary Movie 3 and the free passes to see any movie at anytime!

Anyway about the movie, it was pretty good...definitely better than I expected since half the original cast is not in it and the directors changed. They spoof "Signs" and "The Ring" the most but there a few other spoofs too. Overall, I don't think I'd spend $8 on it...either rent it or hit the matinee.

isn't it pg-13? i kinda like the mature comedy of the first and second.
Rat Race and Vacation (chevy chase) has been the only films i've seen that had a pg13 label and extremely funny

Yes it is PG-13 which is another downside. This movie was directed by the the director of "Airplane"...so you can get a feel for the kind of comedy involved.

didn't Kevin Smith write it? If that's true I hope that this is much better than the other two.

Yes, Kevin Smith did the screenplay and David Zucker directed.

yah i was skeptical, but i heard the airplane dude and kevin smith were involved. surprising, yet the first one was better than it ever should have been so who knows|
