How many of you have been in movies alone?
Just wondering because I haven't been.
Hi my name is Troy Mclure. You may have seen me from such movies as Saving Private Troy, and The Muppet's revenege.
i've been to the movies by myself. i think it's better sometimes cause when you go with other people they tend to wanna comment about stuff while watching the movie. and it's easier watching mutiple movies. one time during summer school at college, i spent about 9hrs at the theatre, watched about 4 movies. i believe the last movie of that day i saw was that movie with tom cruise and them precog triplets.
I had ticket offers for 80p during a very lax time table at IV form college so could go, and did go all the time on my own. I like the escapism, but prefer to go with someone now so as to make an event out of it, drinks, movie, meal etc
weird question, why not? Basically no difference to sitting alone in front of your television. Just like with clubbing my primary goal is to enjoy the movie/music, the social "environment" comes second.
I've been a couple times if I really wanna see a movie my friends don't wanna see or just wanna watch it again. Also at the one I go to, it's better to sneak into other movies if you're there by yourself. 
i have too. movies are a pretty solitary thing anyway since you cant really talk to anyone at the theater.

Going out to the movies can either be a social thing or not IMO. Theres always times anyway when you want to see a movie that friends don't.
depends on the "type" of theatre you go to muahahaha

i am quite the crafty veteran at this. i did this all summer long a couple years ago, watching multiple movies. and yall made a good point about how u get to see movies that your friends dont want to watch. and its best in the morning when nobody is in the theatre, no distractions, no cell phones going off, no candy wrappers to deal with, and no outside conversation to hear.
I've been to movies alone plenty of times. Scream 2, I know what you did last summer, Jackass, Scary Movie, Resident Evil (OH YEAH!), too many to name. Going alone is so-so....sometimes you have to tho. No one wants to go or no one to go with. My case is the latter.
2-3 times only but generally i am not going to the cinema even that i love watching movies.
i dont' mind watching movies alone at all, there was this time i drove myself to the theatre only to find 4 of my friends there... man, what did i see that time...?
I've only been to the movies by myself a couple of times. Most of the time I can usually manage to get someone to go with me; it's pretty rare when I can't find anybody who doesn't want to see a particular flick.
for some reason i turn into super irritable bitch when i go to a movie theater...all the cellphones, the 3 year olds crying, and the person next to you asking what was just said...so it's better i go alone. plus, nothing beats a scary movie by yourself!
i'd be too embarressed incase someone saw me, "who you with?". i'll just download or buy the few movies that i cant get people to come to.
I never been to the movies alone......but i do hate going to the movie with my female friends or gf cause it fucking SUCKS beacuse they all want to see girly chick flicks.IM like fuck that i came here to entertain my self and not to pay 8 dollars to see a gay ass movie.Like one time i went with 3 of my female friends and they all wanted to see "dirty dancing 2" or some shit.That day i just stayed at the arcade and played Tekken 4 and waited for the movie to end and for them to come out.
i always find it weird when a thread pops up that i have some interest in looking at and i start reading it to find i posted in it like a year ago... at that point, wouldnt it make sense to just start a new thread?
I don�t know how it is around the rest of the country, but down here (south Florida), going to the movies SUCKS now. It�s like the drop off for all the little punk ass kids whose parents don�t want to deal with them, or don�t give a crap where their kids are or what they�re doing. It never fails...every time I go to a movie, there is always a big group of roudy teenagers making so much noise during the movie and they get kicked out. I don�t understand it. There are also cops everywhere now at all the movie theaters. How ghetto is that! And this is at the nice movie theaters too�not crappy ones. All these little thugs are taking over, it pisses me off. I swear I�m gonna end up in a fight one of these days with one of them, because I can�t hold my tongue and I�m always one of the ones going, "SHHH"! hahahah they hate me.
