Unhappy Help! I have a computer problem too!!

Everytime i click on my CD burner software to burn a cd, an alert pops up that says...

"GRI Error"
"SCSI Error
No SCSI host adaptor found."

Then another alert pops up and says...

"No CD recorder found."

I've tried reinstalling the software, but still no luck... any suggestions?

Phu

I had this very same exact problem.

Your using Nero I'm guessing??

What I had to do even though Nero had detected my burner before I had to reinstall the drivers for my burner and it solved my problem.

Also make sure your using the most up to date version of your burner software just incase

Hope this helps

I'm using CeQuadret just!burn... it came with the computer. Do you think there is a newer version of this software available? It only has a 4X write speed... if i try installing a different software, will it conflict with the hardware?

Ultraphu you can install as many cd burning programs on your computer as you want. I have many on mine and there is no problems at all.

Ok, i think i know the problem... my cd recorder is located on the Secondary IDE controller (dual fifo).. which is disabled for some reason. But when i enable it, i get the blue screen of death and my computer goes into safe mode... any thoughts on what to do?

It sounds to me like you might have a virus.

I was having the same problems awhile back and it was due to a virus. Download some anti-virus software and get all the latest updates for it just to check if you have one (better safe than sorry)
