Monkey Dancer 2 recording streaming audio

one of my friends said to take a audio cable and run it from the speaker out to mic in and then just use the computers sodtware to record the stream and then convert it from WAV to MP3 has anyone tried this? does it make a perfect copy?

you dont need any cables,
just the right software to record straight from the stream.

try TotalRecorder

It would not make a perfect copy at all.

that would, in all likelyhood produce a very shitty recording.. (cheap) Sound card line in's are notorious for being crap-buckets, just rip the stream with either a. ) virtual soundcard ( a sound interface that instead it to a hardware interface dumps the audio data to disk) or b. ) a stream capturing piece of software...
