Sticky Buttons on CD Players

I have Tascam cd 302's and enjoy them (though the only ones ive spun on). But the play button on one gets a little sticky (ie i puntch in and it might not play unless i press it at the exact spot, and it might stick down). Also the FF button on the ohter one will not respond at all, ie i push it (i can feel it go down) and it does nothing. Local store said might be deal so need to replace. Ideas?

open them up and clean them. is there a chance that you or someone might have spilled something on them?

Im pretty sure nothing was spilt on them. and when i try to open it it feels like im about to break the metal cause of some hidden clips or something
