Hello everyone,

I currently live in Buffalo, New York. I got done with school last spring with a media study degree from UB. I am now looking to go out to California to slip my way into the movie business one way or another.

Since you guys are actually in this area....I was wondering if you could offer me any support or advice on my situation. Has anyone else tried their hand in the film business? I am planning on heading out after new years.

I have a friend that is planning on going out at the same time, and he has got some info about apartments, but damn are they expensive. Is $600 a month pretty standard around santa monica and such?
