Heeeeeeellllpppp!!!!!!!!
Someone please help before I take an axe to my pc.
I am trying to record from my amp, but can't get my pc to record no matter what I try.
I've tried wiring microphones and jack plugs into both my line and and mic inputs several times - it's definitely nothing to do with the source going into the pc cos I've tried it loads of different ways.
I've gone into control panel and checked the volume control, I've ticked mic and line in on recording options, I don't have the mute box ticked - I've tried all of that.
I've tried recording in Real Player, Sound Forge and Audio Lab, so it's definitely not the application I'm using.
My onboard soundcard works fine for playing back music, but I just can't get it to record anything.
What the **** can it be? Has this happened to anyone else?
Please help or I'm gonna smash this ****er up!!!!!!
The problem probably lies with the configuration of your soundcard.
In windows, double click on the speaker icon. Then choose OPTIONS => and then configuration. Click on "RECORD", Make sure Line-In is selected. Then click OK
Now, adjust the LINE IN (select it) bar until you see in soundforge that it has sound. (make sure you don't go in the red)
(If you wanna hear what the line in sounds like, you should adjust the line in in the "PLAYING" part of the configuration)
Cheers mate, but what do you mean by the speaker icon in Windows? If I click on the speaker icon in my task bar (bottom right of screen)or in Control panel it doesn't give me the option of 'configuration'.
Can you explain in more detail?
Much appreciated.
the first thing in the OPTIONS menu... thats what i mean with configuration
(sorry, but I've got it in dutch, and i don't know what it is in english...)
