YOUR Hacking skillz...

Ok, to start off with, this is just a play around thing to see how good you are to get into the main area of this site.

You will need to be familiar with HTML, java script files and cgi... a useful tip is to look at sources of every file and html page and see what you can find for using to log into the site... im not sure how many login screens there are... every one is different and requires different techniques to log in... so far im only up to the second phase of logging in... and im stuck but maybe YOU will be lucky to get further than me.

first post, saying hi and that i exist, but i dont wanna turn this into a lets all say hi to the newbie thread cos that wastes time and bandwidth.

i cant even get past the first page, i looked through the js code and i cant get a hint as to where to look for the validate function

see the xnet.js file in that peice of source??? is the xnet.js file REALLY xnet.js? look at it more. And look at the comments anywhere to be found. It's just like solving a jigsaw puzzle.

?

as it says at the bottom, thats not the right file. you need the file with the validate() function.

once u find the right file, the validate function will show the next step on your journey.

yeah its normal that nothing appears after the password:

its like that on a lot of unix systems, probably so they cant count the asterisks

*hint - just make sure you have the password right

Yeah, give yourself a real pat on the back for figuring that out... especially converting to decimal, it takes almost 3 seconds to copy/paste that into the windows calculator and hit the "dec" button.

Sorry, I just think this site is lame. I mean, it's a neat "riddle" type thing, but anyone who calls this "hacking" needs to have their head examined.
