Why does Beckham bend his left foot?

Why does Beckham bend his left foot everytime he takes a free kick/corner?

It looks awkward and downright painful. I think thats why he missed his penalty vs Turkey. I knew he was going to slip on it sometime.

Am I the only one who notices this?

He bends his foot when he strikes the ball so he can curl it, like a banana kick. The reason he missed the penalty was because the box was in a state. Erikkson told the players to go for long distance shots as it was so fukked in the box.

actually i get paid 4.75 an hour, thats 50 pence more than minimum wage, so talk to the hand.

and by the way i was being sarcastic, i rate becks as one of the best in the world. i just don't agree with all the shameless self promotion he does, thats not what football is all about.
