Hi guys,

here is the remix myself and Neal Scarborough done of the classic 'Fiji'

we made it yesterday, especially for a festival that neal will be playing to play out as his last tune

Really nice remix mate, good steady drive as always. I really gotta hear those original Exertion tracks one day (please send me)!

Although there's quite some things going on, it still sounds clear enough. Love it when that sublead comes in... Dunno why, but I seem to be addicted to riffs of any kind

The overall mix is though a tad panned to the right though, I had to pan it 24% left to hear it in full effect - anyone else experienced this?

Anyway, I'm sure it'll be a hit on that festival... Wish Neal good luck from me

do you have an acapella for fiji? i didn't hear much as far as vocals, but some parts it sounded like maybe you did...so either can i have a copy of that acapella or good job faking it hehehe.

anyway,

as far as the mix...its a little too big for my tastes, but its really good. you should clean it up and send it to armin...he likes this kinda stuff hehehe.

I never liekd the original or Binary Finary mixes of this I just loved Langes remix.

This remix is up there with Langes imo i can't decide whihc one I love the most!

wim: maybe the hearing in your right ear is 24% gone? hehe only joking, yeah it could be something to do with the delays

we didnt have the acapella, just midi and a snippet of vocal from the orig. we made the track in about 4 hours just to be played at the festival, so we might go back and change some things. Although i heard it destroyed the festival anyway! chaos on the dancefloor

nah, guess it's alright... my speakers are starting to see the last of their good days

headphones too... got some bad quality ones

but, i'm gonna get a new pc soon, to get full power behind my tunes (at last!), i might consider getting new speakers and such as well

Nice work, especially considering what you had to go with and the time frame.

I have to agree with the guy on the Lange remix, I like the vocals in that better, but then again your copy is overall nicer than the Lange remix, after taking into consideration the time difference between the two (when they were made), etc.

A little touch up here and there and do more justice on the vocals and it'll be mint ;D

As john said, this was made especially for a festival I was playing at on Sunday "Colourfest 2003" www.colours.co.uk. We will go back and polish it up at some stage soon.
