it snowed here last night

Posted by Orbax on Oct-26-2003 22:09:

winter is my favorite season by far

You get the best seasonal beers, you get to dress up in all your dope clothes, heated seats to work, the world is cozier, nothing like a crystalline misty morning with your breath steaming and the world seeming like its holding its breath.

You get hot cocoa, fires, and movies. People are closer, and someone elses body is the best way to stay at a good temperature.

Snowboarding, Snow bars to shove kegs into, and electric blankets.

Gotta love the cold!

It's like 85 F here, west coast America. Oregon. And I'm a bastard american, so I don't feel like doing the conversion.

Unseasonably hot. And last night it was freezing cold. Damn oregon weather.

come spend winter with me, you make it sound good.
i hate winter. -40 C is too bloody cold, my car doesn't work, it's too dark, the ground is a frozen mound of dirt and dead grass because our small city is located in the middle of a large, flat field that goes on for ages and it doesn't snow enough to cover the uglyness. oh, and you can forget about downhill sports because there is no hill. And no water..

Posted by Psionic on Oct-26-2003 23:10:

We had temperatures in the 40s this past week (New Jersey). That's part of the reason why I am sick w/ a cold/bronchitis this weekend

but that was several months ago

That's not much, really - it's the first days of winter... it'll probably get around -30c at Jan/Feb again...

See that's great. When its -5 in your country you get snow. Where I live, you just get -5, no snow. No snowball fights at 2 in the morning, no fun sliding about on the ice, just pure bitter cold wind. Lucky bugger...
