my review:

OAKEY SUCKS. very very disappointing. The first few tracks he dropped were nice but he started playin the same shit he played last time he was here 4 months ago (motorcycle, release, dirty sticky floors).. wTF? and to top it off his mixing was horrible, he is always mixing in way too late... on one transition he waited till the outro beats of the song to PUT ON HIS NEXT RECORD, frantically trying to beatmatch the song live and failing miserably...
then he goes on to play about 3 Benny Benassi tracks in a row... i dunno what that was about.. but i must say that Satisfaction does hit pretty hard in the club. Then he played the Freeland Mix of Nirvana and Clocks and then we left.

me and my buddy (prestige) decided to hit this party up last minute since we had shit else to do, and I can honestly say it was a big waste of $30. We left in the middle of his set cause it was that upsetting. Last time I'm payin to see this guy.

we almost went as a last minute choice, well, until i mentioned that it was gonna cost $30 to get in.....but well, I had a feeling it wasnt gonna be that great.......I saw oakey back at hyperia, and it was a solid set, but just somethin about this one that didnt ring a bell.

I wonder how the other reviews are gonna be

I went . thought it was good. Not Awesome, but good. First 5 songs were/need ID. Yeah, he played the same old same old, but then again Tiesto does the same thing. Club sucked, everyone was just standing along the rails and the dance floor, only the floor had some action. Got recognized 4 times by him for the dance energy I had. Got my gf to take off her bra and get it autographed again on both cups, so thats 2 bras that Oakey has autographed for us. Pics may appear on his website for that bra. 2 hour set for him 1am - 3am. Dude Im not even warmed up to this idea. I mean Deepsky and D:Fuse headliners? I dont dont get me wrong I like D:Fuse but not that fuckin much but Ill go along just because its a group type deal, but still I think this one needs some rethinking and as we can tell from past experiences Im right about these kinds of things.

Holy shit, 138 dollars!!!!!!!!!!!

I gladly bought this off of e-bay about a year ago. I think I only paid like 30 bucks! That song is priceless, never get old, always a great record for Oakey to spin. Its one of his fav's of all time.

Dude I saw them on Halloween here in SA. They were fuckin awesome. The live version of "the nurse who loved me" is much better than the album version. The opening band THE ICARUS LINE was horrible IMO. At the end of the show BILLY , Jeordie, and Josh came back on stage and played a cover of Metallica's "Master of Puppets". Its was a great night indeed.
