Dj Stands HELP!
Hey guys, I have my equipment coming in shortly in the mail, and I have NO PLACE to put it in my room. I might go look at some furniture stores around my area, but is there anywhere on the internet that sell good (and preferably cheap) DJ stands for 2 turntables/CDJs and a mixer? Thanks guys!
I have the same problem, i'm getting the deck with a mixer but i have no place for it :-/ im sooo pissed :-/, the only way I can get space in my room is for my cousin to move out, so I was thinking of getting one tt for now till he moves out or?
i use a computer desk that i got from walmart. its 50 dollars.

and just to give you an idea about the size...

lots of these have customizable sizes and... i guess if you dont like how they look you can always use a cloth or soemthing. the good thing is that the sizes are flexable and the shelving has room for equipment and vinyl
well my computer is very stable, and I get really good performance out of it. I'm really pushing my audio production now though, so I'll be building a new system soon anyways.
On the topic, here's some decent DJ furniture, alittle pricey though:
DUAL
If you have the time and equipment, building your own table would be the best option. Saves alot of money, and you get it just the way you want.
Those stands at Dual are quite nice, but there is also Sefour at www.sefour.com, they have a few stands with some modular shelving for the rekkids!!! They are on the $$$$$pricey$$$$ side though, you can also buy them at HTFR.com

yo dj jade thats perfect for me, but if you think closely, after a while, the wood starts to bend down, wich is what is happened to me, so i turned it over there was a small bump till it came back to normal then it started denting again and so on till it broke, thank god i didnt have my deck and mixer on that table damn i would commit suicide anyways, i need something wich can support the middle
did you use this exact table? there is like a pretty strong steal beam that goes across this table so it holds alot. i have had it for two years and took it apart over the summer for storage and didnt notice a dent or anything. ofcorse for 50 dollars... you probably get what you pay for but more per dollar than the expencive stuff imo.
When i read you bought it from wallmart i didn't think it's a good stable table
:-/
its stable enough for me, honestly. and i have 3 1200s and a xone62. but... hey i didnt want to spend that much money on a table. you shoudl certainly go to a walmart near you and check it out. its pretty stable imo. either way you haev nothing to lose
look for my thread about a dj table.
Hey guys, thanks for all the input. I went with DjJade's idea and bought the foldable 4 foot table from Officemax for 40 bucks. I saw it in the store and it's incredibly light but incredibly sturdy as well. I sat right in the middle of it in the weak spot, and I didn't even feel it dip even a little, and I weigh almost 190 lbs. I figure if I ever need to take it anywhere, I just fold it up and get going, it can definitely fit a nice coffin too if I decide to get one. Thanks bro! This is the one I got...

i have ikea next to my house they have awesome table but a bit more than 50$ lol dont forget im in canada. Everything is like 50$ more plus tax thats like over 150$. I have a table like that but i have too many things in my room so i can't fit it in :-/
ive heard some really bad things about ikea furniture being extremely unreliable...but those are usually problems having to do with broken/misfitting parts and holes that dont line up.
haha jade, thats the same desk im on right now for my computer and all equipment. for my tables though, we went out and stole a huge road sign and turned it into a nice stand, i have enough room for my decks, my djm 600 and my laptop. BTW, Jade, what part of nashville you in? I just got here 'bout a month ago... Nice to see someone else spins trance insted of Jungle
How about something like this:
combined with this...
or this...

, I like that last part...GEAR NOT INCLUDED!
Yo rebel can you tell me where i can buy it? i have something simlar to that but i dont have the space on the sides for my deck
You could visit your local GUITAR CENTER, but I see that you're in Canada, so I don't know if they have GUITAR CENTER there. Here's a site I always enjoy taking a stroll through. Sign up for a catalog. They send them out periodically.
Pro Sound Stage and Lighting
They're based in Los Angeles, CA. They're also kind of pricey but sometimes they have great deals. If you buy equipment from them and it amounts over $299, they will take care of shipping and handling charges for you. Check out for promos!
Good luck and enjoy!

thnx bro, i'm gonna check it out, I there are a couple of stores here in canada montreal that sell equipment so i'm going to print a couple of pictures in the site you gave me, and see if they have them, if not then i'm going to look for a way to build on my stand two square pieces of woods for the deck.

no its not really modifying becuase its supposed to be calibrated along iwth the pitches. take off the platter and unscrew the cover. under it. at about 1 oclock or so you will see two blue pots. one for the pitch and the other for braking. if you turn them clockwise i think it will break harder. i think the hole on the platter lines up with it if you haev the cover off. its pretty sensitive but i have mine so that it breaks as fast as it can wtihout turning back. alot of people adjust it so they can break while mixing to create an effect.
the pitch can be calibrated or turned up so that it goes faster.. ~12% or soemthing like that. have fun and congratulations. not alot of people are handed techs : )
