cutting a sequence from a svcd

Hi!

I have this 50 min SVCD and want to cut a 5 minute clip from it. I've NEVER done any video-editing before. The clip must be viewable with a standard .mpg player afterwards (does NOT need to be an SVCD afterwards).

I want the easiest way to do it, only thing I DON'T want is de-code and re-encode so it will keep the original size and quality.

Please don't answer "Premiere Pro 7"

thank you so much!

Had the exact same problem awhile ago, and found this little program called MPEG2Cut, worked well and I managed to fit the SVCD movie onto a cd afterward, try it out.

Here's the website I got it from.
