Lady Dana / Commander Tom OR Paul Oakenfold / Mauro Picotto / Sven Vath?

alrite .. this is gonna be huge weekend in TO no doubt. And i know that myself and a dozen other TA's will be celebrating their bday's as well. I'm torn between which party to check out. Both have their pro's and con's but I was just wondering where the majority of you were headed.

please note:

THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT WHICH PARTY IS BETTER!!! I'M JUST TRYING TO GET AN OVERALL IDEA OF WHERE EVERYONE WILL BE THAT NIGHT! PLEASE DON'T TURN THIS INTO A DEBATE OVER WHICH PARTY TO GO TO WHICH WILL PROBABLY ONLY END UP IN A FLAME WAR!

Ive seen the entire lineup from Guv before minus Sven, and Id rather see Dana who isnt likely to be back for a long time.

Commander Tom laid down one of the nastiest live sets I�ve ever witnessed; hard, dirty and relentless, it was just immaculate! But then again how often do you get to hear techno @ the KH?

It�s a shame that with the tiny amount of quality techno events this city gets, they have to be on the same night.

I�m not sure where I�ll be...

Hopefully it will be two separate parties...or, at least, two separate admission prices.

I sure don't want to go for Sven but pay for Oakenfold too.

I had the pleasure of hearing Lady Dana at Mysteryland 2002. I could only bear it for 15 minutes, and then went to see Dumonde. She was waaay TOOOO hard for my liking.

So yeah, if you like it hard - go see Dana. You will NOT be dissapointed! BTW, she used to spin hardcore in her early days.

It's also very unlikely that she'll be back in TO anytime soon after that party, whereas Picotto and Sven Vath are here pretty much every year if not more often than that. Also neither Mauro Picotto, nor Sven Vath are nearly as hard.

Also Viva has a much more intimate feel than Kool Haus, which, IMHO, is essential for techno parties. I personally doubt that Mauro will ever be able to recreate the atmosphere he created by his presence at System in october 2002.

Nothing will top that night in Oct 2002 for Picotto.

I've seen him every time he's come TO since and it hasn't been as good.

(RJ crosses his fingers hoping this one will be even better than his set @ SystemS)
