If you believe they put a man on the moon...

any conspiracy ppl out there? how much proof exists that they actually landed?

I was there, I saw it all.

they saved A LOT of money if it was fake

i think ti was faked. i read that the area just outside the earths atmosphere is so radioactive, if anyone crossed it in a ship or not, they would die of cancer soon after. also i saw a pic of area 51 taken from a passing plane, and u can see a moon area in the top corner. but then again, them pics wer probably fake as well

well, if they didn't, they convinced everyone back then.

so it doesn't matter if they did or didn't anymore.

Well, I dont want to seem like I'm jumping on the bandwagon here, but I think it was all a set-up too. After watching some of the programmes that explain these theories, some of them are quite convincing. I hope it was real, and that man really did walk on the moon, and I certainly dont want to disrespect the guys who put their lives on the line to do it, but I look back at the technology that was available back then and I wonder how on earth they managed it.

I wouldnt go into space even now, because it's too dangerous, so how they managed to run a space mission with (what are now) 30 year old computers etc i'll never know. Makes you wonder why they haven't been back. I mean, it's not like we know everything we can know about the universe just from a couple of trips to the moon and back.

I totally agree 100% with you!

just seems to me that they would fail a few times before succeding. u kno? just a little too perfect. and the motive is clear, outdo the soviets at any price. even if it means lying to the public.

If it was fake then there is not a chance in hell it wouldn't have been exposed by the Russians at the time. This topic is old a boring because all facts that have been brought up to show it was a hoax have all been disproven. There are already many threads on this, so I can't be arsed to go into detail.

LOL Recently I visited the McDonald Observatory (Davis Mountains) where they used a laser beam in one of their telescopes to conduct research on the shifting of the Earth's continents. They bounced the laser off reflectors left by apollo astronauts and then measured how long it took for the light to bounce back. With this meathod they have also accurately measured the distance from the Earth to the moon. Read Cosmos by Carl Sagan for further info.

There had to be at least one moon landing for there to be reflectors on the moon.

Its funny that a lot of the people that believe aliens crashed here also believe we are incapable of going to the moon. Seems kinda odd that aliens could...eh....fudge it.

I still think they actually went there. A lot of the proof it was fake stems from photographs and it seems that it can be explained by poor technology.....eh time for class, maybe I'll explain later.

i heard alot of convincing conspiracy theories as well.. but i have a hard time believing them. Mostly because we obviously have satilites, which means people have obviously been to space and dicked around there, and there are continually missions to space and so i think that astronauts are learning a great deal OF space, so why is it so unbelievable that they could land on the moon?

Amazing how many people think it's fake. Come on, the US is not the only nation in the world, if any of it was fake, all the other countries would have said so, especially the soviet union.

They just did this to put on a show for those commies right?

Testing for new age moon landing equipment? They gotta do it somewhere don't they? As for us never going back to the moon, why would we need to go back? It was just to say that we have put a man on the moon, plus it is dangerous (obviously) and now we just use robots to gather any data and samples we need from the moon.

Strangely, I believe the whole "aliens at Area 51" thing. Just coz humans cant get outta the solar system, that doesn't mean it's impossible for any other intelligent being in the universe. Just because some people dont believe we went to the moon, that doesn't automatically imply that aliens dont exist, so i'm willing to bet that they do.
