TranceAddict TUNE OF THE WEEK!

I searched throguh the forums and I was surprised that no one has started this before.... I think we should have our own vote/poll for tune of the week every week.... just an idea what do you guys think?

i remember being a huge part of the orignal tune of the week project. It was all hosted by Antsomething. I can't remember the whole SN. I wonder where he went, maybe he changed his SN. Anyways, if u guys are all up to it, count me in.

How about a tune (or tunes) of the month? That would make it less of a hassle and more simple for everyone - also prevent those who just wanna post a random tune or becasue they gota tip from a producer from saying whatever crap they want. Just thinking out loud.

i like the idea too...as long as it is constantly updated and we dont have a thread for one week that is 50 pages....but i think it could go over well if dorks keep their shit to themselves and the flames out of the thread!

What if there was a tune of the week and then from there have the 4-5 tunes of the week per month in a poll for tune of the month?

genre nazis, if the song picked isn't part of their favourite style they'll accuse it of being biased & it'll go down in flames

how can 20'000 odd members whittle down to 1 track that people agree on, impossibly imo

calling tunes that ppl in the scene have access to is unfair on those who don't, as they won't even know what the song sounds like so can't vote for it

just my input anyway

agreed about it being basically impossible for everyone to come to a single song. an important aspect to look at also are the biases on TA. i mean, not that there are any towards specific djs or anything *COUGHarminpvdg&dCOUGH*. so variety of tracks will most likely be... limited

surely we could just leave the decsion making down to the moderators, i mean, they have a decent taste and presumably access to the latest tracks, just gotta make sure that they put the odd progressive or techno track on and no one would complain. They could even put on like classics from early nineties to remeniss about

How about everyone post what they want as song of the week, then close the thread or end posts for it after a couple days or so. Then we take whichever songs appeared the most (let's say like 5 or so) and make a poll out of it?

the original plan was: Sign up people to find new/great music and sign up people as official voters. Then every member had to upload one song a week to this huge server database. Then the official votes would vote until monday. The votes are tallied, and then we make a thread declaring the winner and hosting the song for everyone to download the "tune of the week"
