This movie is nothing short of amazing. Whatever plans you have tomorrow, cancel them and go see this flick!
The special affects are mind-blowing. I kept thinking that it was real and had to keep telling myself that it was computer animation. Not only did the affects blow me away, but the actual story and "acting" was brilliant as well.
So far, this is the best movie that has come out this summer. Do yourself a favor and go enjoy this masterpiece.

yeah....I know NOTHING about FF other than the fact that in one of them, there is some guy named Cloud who has a big assed sword! Should I still go see it? Will I understand it?

Final Fantasy is different from the game plots. Originally, there was 1 game for the original nintendo system of final fantasy (which i don't exactly remember, but i remember some old stuff on it), and then super nintendo released 2 and 3 (US releases, japanese released 5 of em' for super nes). basically, all of the nintendo version followed close to the same plot, usually consisting of the main charactors, or older characters from the older games. Then somehow sony got a hold of final fantasy and royally fucked it up. They kept changing the plot, and characters (which is cool to a point). They made so many, and now they are nothing like the original ones. And in answer to one of the questions above, NO, it is nothing like the other final fantasy games. The movie (like the sony games) have changed the plot. The plot so far (i think), some sort of virus-like disease begins to take over earth. It is caused by something, and the characters are trying to put a stop to it, and restore earth. (basic guess.. 
). In answer to another question, YAH, the movie will be pretty enjoyable with it's amazing CG video. I have never witnessed something quite as remarkable as this (videos pretty close to the sony vids in quality, but the movie is SOOO much better..). HONESTLY, when i first saw the previews, I had arguements with people that it was filmed, and not CG computer animated. Then I saw it in better lighting, and I realized it was really CG. I really want to see this movie, and i'm sure it'd be a great deal for 6 bucks to watch it in the cinema. I recommend people go and watch it. As for the rest of you, sorry, no Cloud from final fantasy 7, meaning no big sword 
(if you want that, watch BERSERK..
) But, judging by the previews, theres plenty of explosions, shooting, and nice scenery. TRUE EYE CANDY!
Go see it, I will for sure this summer..

I live i norway so the movie wont come to our cinemas until fall..........
But some fxp team fixed me up with a vcd version of it... 
hehe. So i am downloading it right now....
