I dont know jack about hockey but i think that's the problem right there - which I've seen in many other sports.

Leafs the players , the management and as an organization are freaking spoiled. They know they have an extremly loyal fan base who will fill up the arena night after night regardless of them sucking. They don't need to try hard to keep this city filling their pockets.

meh leafs wont win a cup for 10 years (thats how long tickets are sodl out for)...if u think of it financially we dont need a cup..we pack the seats every night...all they got to do is make the playoffs and toronto is happy...why do u think we only pick up wash ups(owen nolan for example)?

Na, the leafs are a pretty decent team. Forsure theyll make the playoffs but how far they go is anyones guess.

But yeah, its pretty pathetic how rich of a team they are, yet still cant be one of the dominant teams in the league. Look at colorado, detroit, or dallas... they got lots of $$$ and are strong teams, and they have been for a while. The leafs are kinda like a cross between the red wings and the rangers... theyre rich, can be good, and can also suck...

But im optomistic that theyll be a better team this year than they were last year (in the plaoffs that is).

seems like you know the leafs pretty well despite your self-proclaimed lack of hockey knowledge, =P.... kudos to you... its true... leaf fans are idiots... even if 20 000 fans boycott the leafs, there will be another 20 000 morons ready to fill up the ACC in their place... i guess i'm a moron too though, =P. besides, the ontario teachers pension plan owns a big chunk of the leafs and i don't think they give 2 shits about winning. that's why they don't spend money on new players...

if heatly recovers, he'll be picking up trash on the side of some US interstate highway for at least 10 years.... it's sad, but anything less would be a mockery to the justice system. it would just further the idea that courts are more lenient on celebrities, which has already happened in the past...
