okkk.. so, i have an scvd in .bin format.
opened it up in winimage, extracted the .mpg from the .bin file.
problem is, when i try to play it, there's no video and the sound is all scratchy..
yepp, i have the mpeg2 codec (even tho it should be on everyone's computer by default..for XP anyways )

anyone have any ideas on how to get by this?
...even if i burn it, i'd like a copy in a single .avi file or something

To fix your problem..
1. Get the .bin/.cue back for the SVCD
2. Download VCDGear
3. Load the .Bin/.Cue in VCDGear (it will convert it to a .mpg)
4. Download TMPGenc
5. Look through the program and convert!

Best way I've found to convert an SVCD to DiVX over the years.
