America is really starting to piss me off

You know I started to write this huge statement about my views on america lately .....It took me about an hour to write and then I thought to myself it doesn't really matter....americans never listen to anyone except themselves. I pride msyelf on being a Canadian have a certain amount if respect for everyone in this world except for a nation below us who think that everyone in the world loves them, The only point that I wanted to say is that America sucks and most of them have their heads up their asses! And it's America that has been destroying the world for years! Your time will come America.I have been travelling for 2 years now and never have I seen the terrible influence of america upon this world until now and it really bothers me....and I'm not a vocal politcal person. I tell you one thing...never have I been more proud to be a Canadian. No nation is perfect , I realize that but.....I think we're doing ok.

Americans don't think other countries love them, they think other countries are all jealous of them. I'm not saying that's that case for every American, but people can see anything in an emotional situation, which is what other countries appear to be involved in towards America. Just as in your emotional comments I could convince someone that you are "jealous" of America. I don't think most Americans realize how silly that is though.

Posted by nic01445 on Oct-29-2003 03:27:

well, that is rather interesting. too bad you dont bring up any arguable points, other than blatent anti-american generalizations. I would certainly like to see this "huge statement" about why you hate america. Oh yeah, i wouldn't listen to any of it anyways. i'm just a close-minded idiot american who doesn't care about anyone but myself.

Posted by occrider on Oct-29-2003 03:57:

Hmmmm ... well at least you picked the most intelligent, articulate parts from your hour long treatise. Be honest, you spent an hour? I can understand your sentiments, however, ditto with Nico on the generalizations.

Posted by raynbo on Oct-29-2003 04:03:

Well, I'm American but yeah, I think the country needs to pull back and let the rest of the world have its culture back. And some degree of peace. And that must be a long statement!

Posted by 2hardcore4u on Oct-29-2003 04:11:

Ill give you examples

What I meant by I spent an hour....is that I spent an hour adeleted it all becasue its not worth arguing becasue its not going to do any good but you awanna hear some vail points Ill give you points becasue I have been travelling and I see the influence america has. For example I am in Taiwan teaching . And America needs $$$ for its ridiclous war in Iraq. They just relased a report in Taiwan (* america did) saying that China is building up its missle stock against Taiwan to eventually take back Taiwan . ( for those who dont know anythingf about this history of Taiwan and China you should read about it before reading more) America needs money for the war and First of all if China invades Taiwan to take it back all the missles in the world isn;t going to help Taiwan. China will crush Taiwan yet America thinks Taiwan should buy more arms from them. And America won;t even stand by Taiwan even China invades. It is such bullshit! Instead of a peacfull diplomatic solution America lobbys for an agreesive missle build up in Taiwan. I have plenty of examples. I can keep going but I have to go back to class. BThere is nothing you can say about this./....its just america wanting more money from arms sales.

Posted by 2hardcore4u on Oct-29-2003 04:14:

Don;t get me wrong I have met some cool americans ....but I have met more asshole americans than anyone...something has to change down there...ther way people are taught to think!

That thing about Taiwan is interesting, because the Chinese president had this to say when speaking in front of Australian parliament:

quote:
Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory.

The complete reunification of China at an early date is the common aspiration and firm resolve of the entire Chinese people.

A peaceful solution to the Taiwan question serves the interests of all Chinese people, including our compatriots in Taiwan.

It also serves the common interests of all countries in the region, including Australia.

The greatest threat to peace in the Taiwan Straits is from the splitist activities by the Taiwan independence forces. We are firmly opposed to Taiwan independence.

The Chinese government and people look to Australia for a constructive role in China's peaceful reunification.

Sounds like there's a threat of violence there, especially if what you say about the "missile build-up" is true. Still not quite sure what the US has to do with it though?

Perhaps she is talking about this?

Hey if Taiwan doesn't want the pac-3 patriot then don't buy it. The US has long maintained a one china policy because the chinese would invade if that was ever disputed. At any rate, the US sends aircraft carriers to Taiwan whenever China conducts its "missile tests." No offense, but this sounds a lot like those S. Korean students protesting America's presense at the 38th parallel. If the US truly wanted to act in its best interests (and in a peaceful manner with itself ... who wants war with China?) we would abandon all diplomatic ties with Tapei. We all know what would happen then however ...

See thats the problem with guys you always believe what the media tells you. Chinas policy has always been to take back Taiwan and by force if necceasary. Don;t tell how it is when you are in Australia and you read something from the paper. My girlfriend hasd family in China and I hear about stories of the Army coming into Viallages and beating people for speaking out against the government for basic health supplies. The Chinse Govt. has many problems you are going to take what the preseident says for work. They are almost as bad as the American govt. And what does it have to do with america?>????? Do you read my friend? IT was the American Govt who told Taiwan that they should be buying more missles because they have intelligence that China is aiming more and mor missles at the island.

Posted by 2hardcore4u on Oct-29-2003 04:33:

Exactly A US and China war would be wthe wort thing that could happen....it wsould be terible...but you can tell Taiwan not to buy the missles but hey this is the way I think ...and this is the difference..>America pushes arms and Canada pushes peace..Diplomacy and not war is the way I think

By staying out of their business. America think's it's the world's police force. YOu think america is free,.. But they control the world with their corporate greed. 10 % of the people in America own 90% of the wealth....90% of the people own 10% of the wealth how is that free..the richer ger richer...it's so messed up it's unbelievable.

"In communist Russia, messenger shoots you!"

Anyway I'm not sure how I got dragged into this. I'm not one of these lackeys who instantly believes everything the media or the president of China tells me, but given I wasn't really familiar with this situation before you brought it up, I figured it was worth at least "mentioning" what China feels (or say they feel) about the situation. Besides, why should I immediately believe that your word is more reliable than that of the media or Hu Jintao? How do we know that China isn't pointing missiles at Taiwan? How do we know that it isn't in the best interests of the Taiwanese to purchase patriots from the US to defend themselves from a possible missile attack?

(Now you've gone and done it. You've actually made me stand up for US foreign policy - how did that happen? )

Yes I agree with you,Americans Foreign policies are VERY messed up,and now finally they are seeing the concequences in Iraq. But the problem is that this whole World police attitude wont change unless someone stops them, and right now I dont see that happening any time soon.SO just seat back and watch as they go to invade more countries.
shame shame shame

I'm speechless ... I don't know where to begin, so I won't . I am right about the whole renegade thing though ...
