if the dj mag poll voting started today ..............

.........Chris liebing would easily make the top ten.

never before have i seen such demand from both trance and techno fans for *gulp* a proper techno dj.

i have to say i thought last year his recorded sets left a lot to be desired but this year i've never heard a bad report. i would love to see him myself but he never plays glasgow.

as someone who's only into partial techno due to being a n00b, liebing is rocking the fuck out of me I voted him in my list anyway

this isn't about who is ranked where. its about chris liebing and the fact that in the last two months he has an explosion in fan base.

by far the most respected and well like techno dj on the planet

People like Hawtin wipe the floor with him, but he's still a "fun" DJ to dance your ass off too. Adam Beyer beats him in this category, too though.

Its about time folk realised how good Chris is and has always been. His effort put into making one of the best albums of this year is outstanding. I actually voted Chris my number 1 a few months back and I still wouldnt really change my vote (Even though I did see Mauro on Saturday and I filled my pants )

Goo on that man Liebing

Hawtin has a bad attitude tho and a lot of trance fans who also like techno don't respect his outspoken comments on the genres, so they'll go for liebing or someone else

I try to seperate the personal with the professional level. I might agree that some elitist comments by techno dj's are shit and annoying but I can still respect them as talented discjockeys. Same goes for PvD whose political ambitions I didnt really approve but who I still massively respect and admire as a musician/dj.

#1 Deep Dish and Tiesto right behind them.

I know what you mean, I try to leave it out, but like i've been slated for not liking prog, but if a DJ does it ppl seem to be ok, I know al ot of ppl who'd love to punch hawtin, for how he is as a person, I'd rather see Beyer or Umek or Liebing etc though as they seem less down on other genres, so will win more cross-genre fans like myself
