Ulrich Schnauss

The tunes he produces aren't really what I would call "dancefloor material" but he is very talented nonetheless. Anyhow, I am wondering if this guy ever performs live as a DJ or something?

25 yr old german producer with weird ass hair

I dunno if he deejays, I know he performs. Coming out with more talented stuff than most trance producers and artists these days. Certainly if you don't have his stuff now then go find it, both albums are pure genius.

Posted by zarathustra on Oct-30-2003 19:46:

I've got 'em both, brilliant stuff

Posted by RenderedDream on Oct-30-2003 20:05:

my favourite is nobody's home..so..pacifier..

yer bloody stupid

you can buy it from www.forcedexposure.com

a store in maryland

Posted by noonboy on Oct-30-2003 20:51:

I love that guy's music.....Also, I think electronic artists should perform more and stop dj'ing too much. You get more of a live feeling then. Wellwell, my opinion that is.....

His two albums will always be a part of me, they have seen me through high times and low, both literally and otherwise.

Everytime there is a melodic chillout thread, this guy always gets mentioned - I love melodic chill out stuff yet I have'nt been able to hear he's works yet and am ashamed of it.
Can you guys recommend any tracks for a Ulrich Schnauss n00b like myself?

Pretty much anything is worth listening to but I'll indicate in bold the ones I'd listen to before anything else:

Far Away Trains Passing By (2001)

1. Knuddelmaus (7:01)
2. Between Us And Them (7:27)
3. ...Passing By (6:34)
4. Blumenwiese Neben Autobahn (6:33)
5. Nobody's Home (7:34)
6. Molfsee (8:06)

A Strangely Isolated Place (2003)

1. Gone Forever (8:12)
2. On My Own (6:41)
3. A Letter From Home (6:57)
4. Monday - Paracetamol (7:57)
5. Clear Day (7:42)
6. Blumenthal (6:38)
7. In All The Wrong Places (6:53)
8. A Strangely Isolated Place (10:49)

Mum are nice Saw them live last year, great concert even though they said as good as nish to the audience and had pretty much no stage personality whatsoever.

Sia - Breathe Me (Ulrich Schnauss remix)

great tune. anyone know where I can purchase the mp3?

sorry bout the bump, didn't want to start a new thread.

Saw him perform a few months ago. This guy delivers.

I'm not very fond of his new album but the older ones are really, really good.
