UK House of Commons officially decriminalizes marijuana
yesterday October 29 the House of Commons, the equivalent of USA's House of Representatives, officially voted 316 - 160 to reclassify possession of cannabis from a Class B to a Class C violation which means no arrest or jailtime.
this goes to prove how much more progressive the UK federal goverment of the is compared to our conservative legislators. I don't see the US House of Representatives or Senate doing this for LONG time.
some links for more info.

Yes, true...I can see how he would make that mistake though since it's not a federal thing here. All states need to decriminalize it though...it's bullshit IMO to have some dude who just smokes weed have to go to jail.

I think it's stupid personally. The only reason they've reduced it to a Class C drug is coz the cops cant be arsed to deal with the people who smoke it. I know there's a fair few people who do it (and I dont mean to offend anyone who does) but it shouldnt be overlooked just because there are people doing worse drugs. Illegal is still illegal.
