i have a better question; do people ever wait for official news before jumping the gun?

cuz somewhere else i'm hearing that PvD is number 1, and Deep Dish is number 3.

trance seemed to be the most popular this year, yes

but cmon, you cant tell me those 3 guys drop pure trance sets every time they spin

we all know that all the big dj's dont just stick to one genre anymore

get off those prog boards, youre probably reading the 'What the Prog Community Think the DJ Mag 100 Should Be' thread

oh, jesus, one more thread about this and i'm gonna go create a "who gives a shit about stupid biased polls, listen to the djs you like" thread

there wouldnt be much of a discussion in that thread. mainly because your right

PvD should have been #1 IMO. I dont ass-lick him or anything, I just enjoy his sets. I haven't heard Tiesto lately, but last time I saw him he was turning slightly tekky, which I dont like, so he wasn't my fave this year.

I think Markus Schulz should have been in the top ten at least. He's not even in the list. Recount!!

I bet some do, but this shows where the true bandwagoners have gone. This shows who jumps on what bandwagon. This also shows that certain people rarely change opinions like judge jules as top 10.

and don't forget paul oakenfold and paul van dyk

seriously, only 2 djs deserve to be in top20 tiesto and armin.

Trance has changed, i dont like whats its become
so Techno is what I listen to, and I think the top 100 list is way off.

couldn't agree more...
in tha middle of rave death and techno/tribal popularity i have listened to trance, but now it's a lot different, so i choose techno as well... [well there are some exceptions, i would always appreciate a good trance tune]...

Muff2K> yes, trance maybe seems to be popular this year where you live... i wouldn't agree that it's on the top in europe [some are really tired of it]. it was the most popular genre here, well, maybe 2-3 y ago...
