tiesto, Nyana (I know it's late, but maybe you guys know some more)

yeah sorry to post this sooooooo late, but I finally got that nyana mix. And holy f... ?! I have a load of tiesto's mixes, and they are all great songs mixed togheter, but you can at least here him mixing. With Nyana it seems ... wtf ? There is no mix ? This is as perfect as it gets, does anybody know if it was altered using a computer or something ? I mean just compare one of the 'Magik mixes' with Nyana, the mix is always hearable for the people that KNOW the next song that's being mixed in. On Nyana you can hear the melodie come in, like when it's 'As the rush comes' but christ almighty, how did he do this ? is there some new mixing tool available that I didn't see yet or what ? there's only one mix from song-to-song that I hear, that's pretty wild ! If anybody knows, let me know

Er... the mixing is the only thing on this album that could use improvement.

And yes, there are programs you can use to make seamless mixes but it sounds too clinical...

Wow you did not like the mixing omg ? I'm just asking if he used it or not, cause the difference between his mixes on that CD vs the others = extreme imo

Luckily, this mix is old so it won't invoke a meaningless anti Tuesto flame war that is so common.
I thought the mixing wasn't that great on this CD, or anything else. The first 4 songs on CD1 was the only good part of this entire mix. And no, this isn't on computer...I can actually hear some off beats, but only so slightly.

yes you are right I'm sorry, but the first couple of mixes are pretty impressive though, damn ! I like the CD, nice atmo.

Tx dudes

i liked the mixing too,i thought it was pretty original and tasteful, but most people here hated it because they don't like that kind of radical contrasts in going from track to track. live turntable mix from tijs like always. another future classic.

You mean when he turns down the beat a bit, and then throws in the other ? I like that alot, but he didn't do that on Nyana (cd1) ?

i like it because you know its real mixing and hasnt been done in pro-tools.

But yea there are a few off mixes that could do with improvement.

Smoking ..umm..something

I personally liked the mixing too. Those who hated it, i guess, criticized every little detail. I just never wanted to be in the middle of Flame War I.

I think mistakes show the humanity of a person. lol Or else you'd just have computers mixing.

The mixing on Nyana is horrible in my opinion. I really like Tiesto, and still do, but I was really disappointed with the quality of the mixes. Im surprised they let that out as a commercial release from the #1 DJ in the world.
