i went to a pub....
...called the "swan" down town on thursday night in mansfield for a few drinks with me mate. After being pissed off coz apparently u can't wear a fucking baseball cap in a normal pub (wankers - my hair was in all fucking directions...had to use soap and water to put any fix in it lol). anyway, they played pvd feat vega - time of our lives, and the dj said it was tiesto's latest track called traffic. haha went and laughed at him, and he tried to get me sent out for having a hat in the pub...wasnt wearing it and bouncer told him to shut up and told me to stop laughing at him. fucking wankers
should have known he was a shit dj when he said that "the opera song" was the latest trance thing

Hahaha, sometimes I wonder how some DJ's manage to actually get jobs
lol.. i can imagine
How typical is that?
was he resident?
mint
rofl!

Next time, bring a camera!
lol That's classic! At least he was trying tho, bless him. I'd never hear anything remotely that good in any of the pubs I go to. Still, I did hear "Nothing But You" blasting from an electronics store, which made me a happy bunny

i think we should have a name and shame shit Djs thread
get pics of them and where they play regular and us lot could all meetup stand in front of the knobber and laugh at him
anyone up for it?

These people are not dj's! They are people with records that stand there and play them one after the next! There is no real dj'n going on. They should rename so called "live dj's" to "i have alot of equiptment but no real idea how to use it but im going to pretend I have a clue because the people im playing to have less of a clue than I do!"
I had a similar experience last year. I ventured out with a swedish friend of mine as we where off out to meet his girlfriend and 3 of her Austrilian friends. Obviously we ended up in walk about eek!
I spent 4 hours surrounded by rugby players all eye balling me because my arms weren't the size of tree trunks. But anyway down to the point. The Dj was literally fading the volume on track A down and raising Track B and to make thing worse he was going from shit like Steps into Ian van Dahl. I felt sick.
How can these people get paid for this!?

I know exactly what yor all on about, i used to work at a club in ma town, and the "DJ" there has got some cheap ass CD decks and weneva i tell him to play some trance, he thinks he is impressin me by playin pretty green eyes. Even worse he doesnt actally mix at all, jus stands there posin with one headphne on his ear and boppin his head to the beat lookin like a rite c0ck and then jus fadin across to the next song in about 2 seconds, or bringin in the new tune wen theres no beat in the current one, and then looks up at everyone like were all gonna apllaud him
the chap who played the music didnt mix, he just spoke over the microfone and said what he was playing next, and reminding us what he just played, with a few added comments. He was at "The Swan" on a thursday night, around 8! It was bye one get one free on bottled drinks so i aint too fussed, when ya drunk it kinda made me nearly piss myself laughing. Was bad tho, my mate aint really into trance as much as i am (he can stand and listen to it, just aint a REALLY big fan like meeeee lol) and he couldnt understand why i was pissed, he said that they were good tracks. Oh well, go down Mansfield Town Centre, opposite Natwest bank, and its a place all in white!
btw id call him a the 'wrong hands on the decks'!
a local club inmy town has a dj who's a pretty good trance dj, but he's forced to play what the crowd wants.. JT - rock ur body
he usually throws in a few dj sammy tunes so i go out and bop about to that
