and all the bitches wonder why he got second place. i wonder if he gets bored

Posted by Excite on Nov-03-2003 20:20:

yeah, he has been playing the same stuff since loveparade back in july..but if you've been a fan of pvd for the last couple of years then you know he plays sets of tracks in cycles according to whichever recent album he's going to promote. he did the same thing with POD and the Global CD.

Posted by swisstoni on Nov-03-2003 20:20:

lol, i am tempted to agree. I hope he plays something different at the casino in berlin in dec.

Posted by arturob on Nov-03-2003 20:22:

he needs a new harddrive!

Posted by sandstorm03 on Nov-03-2003 20:22:

I WOULD LOVE 4 PVD to promote more for TPOD
....DREAMLAND/EMPIRE/CLUB ATTACK/AUTUMN OWNZ JU!!!!!!!

Posted by sandstorm03 on Nov-03-2003 20:23:

oh well, as you might know i've seen him 17 times this year. I have all his livesets but don't really listen to them that much. So this way I won't get as annoyed from hearing stuff all over again

But one thing: he's a performer so if you people in the US only see him once or twice a year you might expect some quality.

Or just stop downloading...

Posted by sandstorm03 on Nov-03-2003 20:27:

well ive already saw the "same" pvd set twice since august, and i fucking dont want to hear the same one again. Its retarded if he comes back to boston/ny, and spins the same set. Im sure 90% of the people going are the people that saw him the time before.

Posted by Cobalt on Nov-03-2003 20:32:

I agree.

Is it selfish that only those of us who listen to him religiously are complaining? Maybe. But I think a certain baseline of variation isn't too much to ask for.

Posted by vmc on Nov-03-2003 21:29:

He definately needs to play new stuff!! There are a lot of trance tunes around that would fit his style.

Ok PvD, it's about time to stop playing that tunes over and over, mmmkay

Posted by j_spot on Nov-03-2003 21:33:

If youve seen him twice in teh same venue/city then you have reason to complain and are unsatisfied, then you could complain

If you DL every PvD set out there, and listen to them all..of course you are going to think everything is old by the time he gets to you.
but those those people in the crowd who arent l33t like you, its all new stuff to them.
and I would argue taht normal non keeners out number us TAs a lot to a few.

Posted by Trance(PL) on Nov-03-2003 21:34:

Yes his sets are getting old. Get new stuff.

Why is everyone complaining. PvD is a top DJ who needs to play top tunes. Unfortunately not every day has got a release of a top tune.

PvD tries to enjoy his audience and I bet he will, not to enjoy you crappy people who download every set!

I wish I could see him live, nothing wrong with his sets!

Posted by sandstorm03 on Nov-03-2003 21:46:

paul must get a million promos a day, he could def find something different to play... his sets right now aren't perfect to keep playing them anyway

Posted by elly on Nov-03-2003 22:22:

yeah the sets are getting repetitive but if i recall summer of 02 tiesto was doing the same thing and he still got number 1. i recall tiestos sets from like may to nov were the same tracks just different order. eventually they will come around

Posted by goose_wh on Nov-03-2003 22:30:

a bit of variety wouldnt go amiss its true, but was he does play is pure quality.

im waiting for mikeys flame essay on this one.

whoah whaoh..Im defending PvD!!
I think its the fact that all his sets are recorded and DLed by thousands of TAs who think they are smarter than the average clubber that ppl are compaining.
I think hes doing a wonderful job!

Posted by rory21 on Nov-03-2003 22:46:

as jp said he is not playing the tunes for you to download and listen to. he is playing for the people there and then. if it wasn't for the internet you would know what he was playing and where. its just because he is so popular that people will always look for faults, human nature suppose. but ya i do think he needs a few new records. he should be browsing these forums, we'll teach him a thing or two

Posted by gatecrasher on Nov-03-2003 22:49:

His sets have been quality wot are you guys moaning about, the tracks he is playing rite now are great tunes that are full of energy- you only notice he is playing the same tracks cause loads of his sets are being broadcast recently.

Two of those nites in September at Planet Love and last month were the best two nites of my life, the atmosphere was unbelievable and the energy throughout was amazing.

Can't win - if a DJ plays crap he gets slatted, if he plays well he gets slatted too cause he plays similar tracklistings
