Isn't it the same LoStep (Lo Step?) that did "Roots" with Lior Attar?
According to discogs consisting of Luke Chable and Phil K.

Posted by Kinde on Nov-04-2003 19:26:

Yeah, Luke and Phil are behind the Lo-Step alias... anyway, they have done wicked work with this remix, probably goes to my top 5 this year, it's that good. Not sure if this will see a proper release though... let's hope it does...

and btw, it's Shpongle, not Sphongle...

Posted by traveller.fi on Nov-11-2003 22:43:

the original version is far better (what a suprise it's SHPONGLE)

who is Shpongle?

Shpongle = Simon Posford (aka Hallucinogen) & Raja Ram (Owner of Tip World Recs)

www.shpongle.com

now..

I registered @ www.djsasha.com

went to the members section.. and found this tune from the stockholm mix.. around 48:00

kinda odd that they didn't include this mix @ the Shpongle Remixed album which was released a few weeks back.. oh well I guess they had their reasons..

wtf does sasha have to do with it? the remix is by Lo-Step (Luke Chable & Phil K) and the original has nothing to do with sasha either, he wouldnt have any say in the release of the tune.

anyway, tune is fucking wicked, hope it gets a proper release.

Posted by traveller.fi on Nov-12-2003 09:23:

nah the tune is somewhat lame if you've heard the original.. if you want to hear a real remic of dorset perception you should listen to shpongle - dorset perception (total eclipse rmx) which was released on shpongle remixed..

Well, I could say the original is somewhat lame when compared to the remix... but that's just my opinion. OK, the original ain't bad at all but Lo-Step have definitely added an extra punch to this tune... the remix just rocks which cannot be said of the original...

Anyway, I have to check out the Total Eclipse remix, haven't heard that one.

Posted by traveller.fi on Nov-12-2003 14:43:

umm the only thing lo steps did was fainted the original drum line a little and added a simple breakbeat on top of everything..

Posted by tiestoinmix on Nov-12-2003 14:57:

thanks everyone for the info! u rule

Posted by Kinde on Nov-12-2003 15:05:

Yeah, I admit that they didn't do that much (all credit to Shpongle for the original) but that doesn't change the fact that Lo-Step remix is much more dance floor friendlier... and therefore I like it better, period...

Posted by Groover&Breaker on Nov-13-2003 07:39:

its not a remix for crying out loud. cant u distinguish a remix betwenn an edit? edit has almost all the same parts as the original except some minor changes. not a remix at all. but its a well done job.

Posted by Kinde on Nov-13-2003 10:28:

My sincere apologies for this newbie like mistake.

Remix, re-edit, remake, rework, rejiggle, whatever, I just call them all remixes so don't get your knickers in a twist over this...

Posted by tranceDJ on Nov-13-2003 17:23:

I can see how calling this a remix would be an easy mistake to make...people don't have to get all in a tizzy about it and start bitching about it, jeesh

Awesome tune btw
