Stephen King - The Dark Tower 5 - Wolves of the Calla

Are there any Dark Tower fans on these boards? this book just came out today and is just as captivating as the first four! this is easily the best series of books Ive ever read.

for some of you who may not know, this series is a break from King's usual horror style of writing, and is a fictional (or possibly non-fictional) account of other dimensions and worlds and their interaction with our own. a GREAT read for anyone who doesnt mind digesting long novels with alot of action. Just wanted to give some love to this book

sweet, I read the other books quite a while ago.... Hopefully I'll remember what they were about once I start reading Wolves. Actually, I don't remember shit about the first ones... I need a summary

Yeah, its been 5 years since book 4 came out, but i believe the series is done now. the last books books (6 and 7) are slated to come out by the end of 2005, which is plenty of time for me. also, if you havent read book 4, Wizard and Glass , i highly recommend it...great love story worked in with an awesome plot...not a slow read at all...

2205, shit my kids will be reading that in school or something. haha, I'm sure you meant 2005.

But if you read his prefaces in 1 & 2 you will remember that he wanted this to be an epic 12 book novel. He even said that he might not be able to write it all in his lifetime. So this is a shame that he decided to finish it in 7 books.

I'm sooo pumped for Wolves of Calla.

Next year will be books 6 & 7. There should be more.
