f*cking wrecked today

It was after school and a few friends and I piled into my friends 3000GT VR-4 he got a month and half ago (or so). We pull out behind this real fucking dumbass (we ended up being the dumbasses) and we all started laughing and cracking jokes about him. The guy turn signals left and my friend (driving) is like, should we follow him? The rest of us just keep bullshitting and tell him to follow.. So we do, and the guy in front of is hotrodding his explorer etc. Then about maybe a mile away we take a turn down this really windy road (speed limit is like 15 mph) following the guy in his explorer. A ups truck passes us on a sharp corner and we crack some jokes up about the ugy hiitting it in his explorer. Then we started talking about how we lost traction last time taking this corner at 40 or so. We get on to a straight and fucking rip him around the corner travelling about 35~, barely make the turn, we are in the dirt. He corrects & downshifts because there is another straight (probably 1/16th of a mile and the turns are like 90 degrees). We're going about 55-65 before he starts to brake 3/4 down the straight, fucking takes the corner wide and I feel our backend start to slide hard in my head im thinking Oh fuck. Sure as shit we slide into gravel and he corrects enough just to nail this huge god damn bush (size of the car) at ~10-20 mph.

We all just sit there for about 5 seconds looking at each other thinking "did that just really happen". Then he jams it into reverse fucking spits gravel everywhere and we go speeding off down this 1/2 - 3/4 mile strip at the end of the road. The guy in the SUV is still behind us and starts follows us back to the house.

We get out and check it out, whole fucking front end is smashed, bumper, hood, front right fender and the right sideskirt are just fucked. Part of the undercarriage for the radiator is bent and the car is just scratched to hell everywhere (had a brand new paintjob 6 months ago). Probably gonna cost 3000 US in repairs (whole car has to be repainted...)

I'm going with more than 3000, for sure.

yeh it was a pretty low speed collision, and i had my belt on. Nearly hit the window, but it wasn't really anything earth shattering. Car looks like hell though.. still drives straight down the road =). It's mostly cosmetic damage, except the radiator mount it fucked up.. still sucks though =/

Man shit like that sucks. I've been in a couple car accidents (both my fault) and I've never felt like a bigger dumbass than when I'm sitting there thinking "did that just happen?"

Speed Limit was 15. It's there for a reason.

I think he just means some people should take driving more seriously than they already are rite now. Far too many stupid accidents happen due to that.

there is a difference between knowing how to rally a car and wrecklessness (or being wreck-ed)

I would say Marco Martin doing the same shit he did against someone would be totally fine. I just am against people who dont know the limits of their cars rallyin and racin
