Prio Alea - If Looks Wouldn't Kill (promo)

Hiya, we are two IRL friends. We've mostly made melodic trancers before on our own, but we have long wanted to do something together. We give you; Prio Alea.

This new project is aiming to make a new kind of trance for us personally. Our first effort 'If Looks Wouldn't Kill' has a fast driving percussion and a main hook that immediately stuck to our brains like a fly would on glued paper. It was more or less completed in 2 days, following a local rave party.

Reviewed this on T.nu but again, love this track. Maybe some mastering issues to sort out, and the kick could be better, but other than that it's great.

Um.. about the kick, I think it will stay as it is.
And what excatly about the mastering do you think needs improvement? We know that the kick may need a little more bass and the volume on the hihats needs to be lowered.

The main problem as you said is the kick. I also think you should, also as you said, lower the volume of the hi hats and maybe eq the extreme highs out of them. Everything else is gravy.

That kick does sound a little flat and old to me... Love the bassline and that eastern-sounding synth! Great use of effects, really works.
That vocal is well freaky, is it from a film?
The lead sounds really different to most things posted on here which is a real breath of fresh air...
Good track altogether, and it really is psy-trance(ish)

We need to sort out some mastering issues and some volume levels + other stuff. Guess we should start cracking on the next Prio Alea tune if Universtity permits...

the kick seems fine to me.
perhaps a bit flat, but overall it fits well.

good sounds and effects in general.
a bit of tweaking here and there and you got yourself a masterpiece!
