Atlanta needs our own forum

Yah I say we just change it to Southeast US Forum. That way the whole south is covered. After talking with everyone I feel that this is the best idea.

yes! atlanta has major talent every week, probably more that the whole state of florida (no offense guys). we def. need our forum, as atlanta is the largest and most important city in the southeast and people flock here for events. so yeah, do it

I concur.

Maybe we should have a Southeast USA instead of FL. That way it's less segregating.

I have mixed feelings about how the forums should be set up, but I definitely don't think just having a Florida forum is enough. I think us Atlanta TAs have enough numbers to warrant our own seperate forum. However, at the very least, change the name of the Florida forum to Southeast USA, like Scott suggests.

We had something like this a while back, the Irish TAs complained cos it was only the 'uk' forum which didn't cover them, and we had to change the name because of it, I'm guessing that would be helpful here, as much as I'd like to see u with your own forum, the russian ta's didnt' get one, so maybe you won't too, but a change of name would have to do consider it anyway

howabout the florida forum gets changed into a southeast forum then, it would get a bit stupid if every state started having a forums.

I actually think it's a great idea to have an Atlanta Forum, mostly because it is a central hot spot for parties now, a lot of National, Global, and Local talent hit Atlanta every single week now! It's really incredible, and even for people out of Atlanta, GA, they would know what's going on here if they wanted to even travel and see a show. Basically it would be a good way to communicate too throughout the city and outside about events, etc. I know we can already do it all over this board, but Atlanta really is a huge spot for parties now, so I think it deserves its own Forum!!! Or I even like the idea of the Southeast forum, that would give even more communication possiblities between people in the same region. RAWK!!! It will work great either way in my opinion.

separate Atlanta forum or rename florida to SouthEast at least..either way its no big deal it only means an extra click.. And whoever starts a thread can put the city the party is in such as: ATL, MIA etc..

in the uk n ireland we dont all live together but have the same forum. there sno point having a billion forums. it should jsut be changed to south east.

also new forum = another mod and that has been a bad idea sometimes in the past.

You're missing the point. I think we should split the Australian forum into: Sydney, Melbourne, and chuck in all the rest (Canberra, Perth, Darwin, Hobart, Adelaide, Brisbane) into their own hell hole. Quite frankly i'm sick of sharing with the Sydney-siders, and Melbourne is far better anyhow.

Western Canada is bigger than the combined area of all the regional US forums as stated(west coast+NYC+FL+Chicago/Mid West) and its just fine
The UK forum/Ireland forum is 5 countries(also smaller than one of the provinces) and its just fine as well

just rename florida to southwest, no matter how much 'talent' you are getting, having forums for individuals isnt needed.

I think either way would be cool....I mean a Southeast forum would be cool, but Atlanta is a huge party town and could very well need it's own. But doing the Southeast would encourage people to read about more than just their hometown. I guess I'll need to get the NOLA kids posting in here too.

thats exactly it!
a sense of community, make it broad(ie southeast or wahatever) but not so broad that it looses all sense of closeness. Travel is so easy, that going to shows in other cities is easy!

Sounds resonable/logical. I guess i'm just used to the Aussie forum, where all the states/cities/regions are chucked in together, and it works.

I agree! Southeast it should be! I mean, if the FL people are so concerned with having their own section, i say let them keep it. But it doesnt make much sense for Atlanta, South Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana etc etc people to be posting their parties in an FL forum...
