warranty on turntable packages

Ok i bought a Stanton package couple months back and it has screwed up up to 3 times already...first the headphone died out but was too lazy to replace it, so it was basically only the left channel which i would i mix stuff off....then NOW the needle has screwed up, it just slides and won't play the vinyl anymore...and the package is under a 1 year warranty...shouldn't they give me a new needle for the TT because i went their to get my headie replaced and they said "NO!" to replacing the needle cause its "wear and tear", but how the hell is that my fault.

The needle only lasted about 2 months (not even), and this is the 2nd time aswell, about 2 weeks after getting the package the same problem with the needle happened...this is a hassle...should have gotten a Tech, DOWN with Stanton

Don't mean to rub it in, but there are SO many people here (and at other forums too) warning for those crappy DJ packages, and still people get surprised whenever their 'free with three bottles of coke' TT or mixer dies.. I don't get it..

Sorry, can't help you though.. If they don't want to repair it for free (even though it's still under warranty), could mean they're assholes, but still, you're the one that's fucked.

Cool

mixer faders are wear and tear too, unless your tt stops spinning or your mixer wont turn on they wont repair it, unless u get summat like a djm-600 where they will do everything they can to help you

if the needle just slides across the vinyl and won't stick in the groove at all, the diamond has come off the needle and you'll need to replace the stylus.

my first dj package was the "numark dj phat pak" lol. surprisingly enough it lasted me 2 years without a single screwup. came with 2 tt100's and a dm1001ex mixer.

Well yeh i know, but shouldn't the warranty still cover it and replace it rather than me BUYING a new one when it's still underwarranty.
