The new kid Ronaldo (Man. UTD.)

I saw a Manchester UTD. game against the Rangers 2 nights ago, and i saw this new kid, 18, playing with Manchester. He caught everyones attention, and did a couple fakes and great centers. Ronaldo is his name and he comes from Portugal, one day he will be one of the masters, the stars like beckham, figo, and ronaldo(brazilian one).

When u see him on the ball he is soooo fast with his foot work its scary, but ive seen him a few times and he gives the ball away through crappy passes frequently. Its an area of the game he needs to work on

he's fuckin over rated.

runs about like a headless chicken half the time.

and don't take tuesdays performance as proof of his talent. it was only rangers he was plying against.

look out for le tallec (le talent) and pongolle (pongoal)thats talent, not just dribling skillz

well...think, he's only 18, he has many years ahead of him to work on his game.

Teams in the EPL have figured how to stop him already, not hard. All he does is this step over thing and runs to the right. Even wolves cracked it at Old Trafford.

His first game and ppl cummed all over him because of his speed and dribbling skills, but that alone doesnt make u a quality player! He is nowhere as near the quality of Beckham, and i really dont think he will be. Nice to see some wingers at man u, reminds me off Kanchelskies (spl lol) when he was at Old Trafford!

he's from Madeira Island

and yeah, far too individualist player. if only he'd learn to pass the ball a bit more instead of dribbling all the time. good dribbler and creative player, but needs to be a lot more mature. i think don't he got yet what it takes to be at Man United.

unfortunately he also seems to dive a bit too much, this seems to be affecting most of our teams/players lately :\ hopefully he'll realize that this isn't as acceptable in the Premiership as in our shitty league.

he's still 18, lots of years to improve. maybe he moved a little bit too soon, another year in Sporting wouldn't be bad for him. and the tabloids won't get out of his ass

He is a great player but he isnt as effective now in teh season as he was in the start. Defensemen have watched him and have learned from his tricky moves... I think hes amazing but wont be much of a play maker

Posted by matty on Nov-08-2003 06:31:

There are hundreds like him if not better on every street corner in Brazil....being skilled is one challange, playing against other skilled players is another....maybe he'll come around....

Ronaldo is just another El Hadji Diouf (Liverpool) in my opinion.

Sure he can dribble, and get past players, but he almost always loses the ball through crappy passes or by keeping the ball too long.

In my opinion, Ronaldo is one of the most over-rated players in the EPL. He hasn't had any assists this season, and i don't think he has scored any goals in the premier league either
(maybe one, i cant remember). I don't think ppl can compare him to the greats of the game until he actually does something meaningful like scoring goals.

Now, Harry Kewell, he is a brilliant player (and Australian!)

He is top scoring midfielder this season after Giggs i think...too bad Liverpool are having an ordinary season so far. I just read that Gerard Houllier has admitted that he is aiming for fourth place this season because he has given up on Liverpool winning the flag.

If any of you love your Premier League like me and want to play a really awesome game where you pick your "dream team" of 11 players and three subs for the premier league, who are then given points each week depending on whether they play, goals, assists, clean sheets etc, then go to:

totally agree. they linked up well against man u the other day (even though we lost). Great skill and pace to set up the kewell goal. Looking forward to seeing more of these 2.

ps whats happened to wayne rooney these days?!

Ronaldo from Man Utd is a dive and a cheat he can't stay on his feet in the box.

If you want to see a real winger just watch Ryan Giggs.

u lot seem to be forgeting that while u pick faults with him u need to remember that he is only 18 and players are not supposed to peak till there bout 28 and hes already a good player so imagine what he will be like when hes 28
