Lifecell - Embryo (Push Remix)

This remix from Push is one of his better remixes since some time. His remixes began to annoy me, I like this one! Damn, need to see/hear M.I.K.E. live!!

8/10 for me

this one's pretty good. the main melody sucks, but the build-up is wicked!!

oh what like it isn't true? push has a lot of talent for creating melodies...if he would just learn how to make some good sounds he would be awesome.

It has a nice build-up..............but i don't like the main melody at all
6/10

Posted by noikeee on Nov-08-2003 01:05:

not sure what to think of the melody..

the track has some really good points but overall it fails as it qualifies as a recycle :\ the breakbeat is the weakest point, terrible.

if mike sit in his studio for another couple of hours and tweaked it a bit with a couple creative ideas (especially in the percussion!), it could have turned out to be a killer. but it's a rather average track.

6.5/10

yeah, i like m.i.k.e / push tracks, but whether u know the track or not, u always know if its done by him. He has the same sound the first 2 mins or every song. As said before....same samples

True. That doesn't change the fact that Live Another Life + most of his collaborations kick major ass though...

yeh, but like thats ever gonna stop me having a moan

he makes really good melodies and thats what does it.

however the thought of mike's kick in a breakbeat sounds comedy for this tune.

I think this remix is kinda week, and so are the rest of the latest push works.

I looked at his equipment list. it looks like he has upgraded a few things, still some old drum machines though. I wonder if he just wants his stuff to sound the same so that everyone can spot a track produced by him. I am a push fan. But some of his more recent stuff has been a little weak.
I wish he would come to the U.S. and do his live P.A.
Has anyone here ever seen him live?

i don't think he'll come to the U.S. for a long, long time.

regarding the track: very average, definitley not one of his better

works. i'm being kind by giving the track a 7...and it's only b/c

he's one of my favourite producers.

Mike just made it for the Japanese market and didn't put that much effort into it, since the majority of his fans wouldn't hear it anyway. But now Banshee decided to release it after all, so you can imagine Mike being not that happy, such a mediocre remix could do more damage to his reputation than it can do good...

This explains it. I thought the track was too mediocre myself...

Push = quality

i could argue all night about this, m.i.k.e doesnt need to change his style immensly because his style is awesome as it is, imo he has a varied sound, those of you who dont think so obviously arent listening properly, his plastic boy productions sound totally different to his push ones and his calling the freak and liquid overdose sounds totally different from the others, and then there is solar factor which again is totally different, so people who think he should change his style, stop goin on about it and enjoy the music
*end of rant*
