gee how observant of u cam

nah, glad y'all had a gr8 time...i was just in the mood for a more refined smoked-style cheese last nite, as opposed to cheddar variety is the spice of life, after all

anyways.....

/me lays down a huge sheet of plastic in the thread so psygnosis doesn't ruin the carpet with his inevitable 5000 orgasms......

come on psygnosis - can't believe u didn't get in and start the thread first

Well the night was pretty cool, when Matt walked past me the first time i reckon my heart skipped a beat...I was fairly disappointed because everyone was playing the same tunes over and over and overrrrr! Matt Darey gave it a bit of a exception. He signed all my records and even told me "How'd you get this" to my M3 - Bailamos record lol...i was talking to him constantly at the bar and stuff and i talked to him about music making and stuff, he told me to get a special program , he even said he will email me tips when i get stuck, so that's pretty cool of him.

Tom Brown (radio boss) was there, had a talk to him about stuff...

But in all a awesome nice...

He also played

Marc Dawn - Expander (Flutlicht Mix)<---Cam thats the song you told me to ID
Binary Finary - 1998 (Matt Darey Mix)
Matt Darey - Voice Of An Angel (INSTRUMENTAL VERSION)<---WOWWWWWW

hmmm can't remember anymore, wax put the rest up.

ahahha i also remember when he dropped For An Angel, then i looked around for Cam, then when the song was about to finish he came down ahahahah....damn

As i was about to leave when saying goodbye to everyone he also gave me a hug ...i guess he could see the fan base.

Shame i wasn't on the dancefloor much, had been working the day before and my back muscles were dead...even standing there killed....BUT i maintained the pain to see it whole set by Darey.

10 min before matt's set i saw him go to the toilet, and i looked at mehran, i thought i was gonna have to restrain him LOL

definite highlights. FKN TUUUUNNEESSSS!!

actually worked out well that darey started 30 mins late coz we just got there.

i thought the last half of his set went off. the first half was a bit slow, crowd wasn't completely pumped (chems didn't kick in yet? haha) but somewhere in the middle darey dropped his headphones and some other dude went on (i thought that his set was over) and then darey jumped back on and ramped it up. the crowd just went nuts.

great to see the TA massive and the gas regs as always. still don't know who's who but i'm sure we will meet again. it was a small crowd compared to previous halcyons but when the whole crowd is pumped it doesn't matter ! met a few people up the front which was great. time to get those TA shirts people !

maybe a bit cheesy for my liking, felt like it was anthem after anthem after anthem.. that's what happens a weak after seeing dave seamen However, it was a great vibe and i had fun.

I was wonderin why you weren't dancing as hard as always Cam.. now i know. Great effort on your part anyway to be there

just as dG and I were about to leave we heard Solid Globe - North Pole and next thing you know we were back on the dance floor! nice work

Posted by Beemer on Nov-08-2003 03:06:

Well I had such a great time last night. Matt Darey's set totally rocked and he played a good combination of old and new tracks. Ended up chatting to his g/f for part of the night and was so stoked when she pulled me up to the front of the DJ box for a dance with her and Matt Darey on the last track...amazing!!!!

Highlights of the set for me would be:

Paul Van Dyk - For an Angel (OMG!!)
Matt Darey - Nocturnal Delight
Matt Darey - Beautiful

Pretty disappointed about the turnout, I was really expecting to see more ppl there tonight

Posted by -=M=- on Nov-08-2003 03:36:

sounds like a great night, I think this along with Seaman are the first big trance nights Ive missed all year due to exams. Shame to miss Matt Darey though, he is definite quality.

yeh it was awesome talking to you, it was a shame i only started to talk to you when the night was about to finish.

Posted by muli on Nov-08-2003 04:58:

yea good night.

Great vibe with the small amount of people there.

A bit cheesey for my liking, but i was expecting that so it was all good. Seems like a nice bloke.

Hi to Ross(i think), how did you know it was me

i to was sick, was good to cough and splurter along with you all night cam

Li Kwan - Point Zero was the highlight for me! What a fucking tune! cant wait for the digital blonde remix

Um and I WANNA SHAG HIS GIRL!! Damn that was some hot barbie material

Posted by Romp on Nov-08-2003 05:30:

Muli I think its me you are referring to, dunno if there is a 'Ross' :P

He played some top tunes but I was a little disappointed he didnt play more of his own stuff. I dont think he played 'Liberation' did he?

Also did anyone else think the sound at Gas was worse than usual? Think the volume may have been higher than usual too because you couldnt really dance next to the speakers and I came out not being able to hear much which isnt usual.

It was louder (more powerful), they got some new speakers in during the week. The tech there had it all configured, but found out at about 6pm on friday night that they weren't going to use the standard (and higher quality) mixer. The sound wasn't totally reconfigured (something that took 3 days to do????) for the temp mixer, so leveling would of been a bit of. The quality in there tonight should sound as good as Space, if not better.

Darren Tate vs Jono Grant - Nocturnal Creatures was in there somewhere as well.
As was The Olmec Heads - Spiritiulised
