I miss Oakie....
I'm listening to his old Essential mixes, specifically Havana, and I just cant stop thinking about how much different he was then than he is now.. i respect his decision to move onto different kinds of music, but.. the man is a god. His track selection and mixing ability have gone downhill.. i just hope he can pull it around before i see him live, whenever that may be.
OAKIE!!! I MISS YOU!!!
i agree that his live mixing has gone to the grave yard
jayd was telling me that his hearing has gone bad..could it be that he is too old now?
actually i think he needs to lay off the drugs while mixing..
best dj in the world in my book...always

I read an interview with Sasha that indicates he's laying off the drugs now... and he thinks it's helped his mixing...

I love Oakenfold Presents. I listen weekely and he does a great job. I have never seen him live though to be able to compare it. I think the best live set from him I have heard is @Space in Ibiza. I have had it for like a year now, and still listen to it.

A oakey live set wont really be too much like his Oakenfold Presents shows. Every time ive heard him live hes plays a bit more harder than his state side shows. Sometimes he will play like 15-30 mins of breaks. But i wish he was the way he used to be as well, he used to be awesome
I saw Sasha live for the first time at the weekend, and he was really good
He looked like he was having fun behind the decks, wouldn't suprise me if he was fucked. Most of the other DJ's at the event would prolly be getting cained
Oakie got me into this trance thing!
Until about two years ago at Club Space in Downtown Miami I was skeptical to the hole techno scene. Oakenfold is what truly brought me into this beautiful world that we call trance music. I saw him at Ultra and he blew my mind. Same thing at Club NV at Downtown Miami, suprisingly not that large of a turnout. The new album Bunka was a bit dissapointing except for track 5 which was pretty euphoric. By far the extraordinary was cd #2 of Great Wall. Talk about orgasm after orgasm, that's why I love this shit, so much better than house, even though most people can't make the distinction. If he's on drugs more power to him! He's living his life and touching millions while at it.
