Palestinian Death Toll Rises to Thirteen in 48 Hours

"Ramzy Mohammad Jaradat, 22, was also announced dead in Ramallah after he succumbed to wounds he sustained three weeks earlier during an IOF incursion into the West Bank city .."
OCCUPIED JERUSALEM - Two Palestinians died on Saturday and Sunday of wounds sustained earlier by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) gunfire, a day after four other compatriots were shot dead and a father of six was announced killed by occupation troops in separate incidents in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, which raises the Palestinian death toll to thirteen in 48 hours.
Samer Abu Asab, 22 from Balatah refugee camp, died in a hospital in the northern West Bank city of Nablus of wounds sustained during an IOF military incursion into the camp a week ago, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported Sunday.
Ramzy Mohammad Jaradat, 22, was also announced dead in Ramallah after he succumbed to wounds he sustained three weeks earlier during an IOF incursion into the West Bank city. The martyr is originally from the southern West Bank village of Saeer.
Late Saturday, the Israeli daily Haaretz reported that IOF on Thursday night shot dead a father of six identified as Faiz Salama, 44, at the Anbata roadblock, adjacent to the West Bank city of Tulkarem.
Also in the northern West Bank, near Jenin, 14-year-old Palestinian Mutaz Wasef Aamoudi, was killed by Israeli gunfire in the village of Burkin on Saturday morning in the second fatal clash around this town, Palestinian security sources and medics told Agence France-Presse (AFP).
Aamoudi died and two other Palestinians were wounded as stones were being thrown at Israeli tanks, the sources said.
Earlier, IOF shot dead Mohammad Abdul Rahman Hasan Salah, 18, in the same village. Mohammads father serves a life sentence in IOF prisons.
In the Gaza Strip, two Palestinians were killed by IOF soldiers overnight near the northern town of Beit Hanoun, Palestinian and Israeli sources told AFP Saturday.
Mahmoud Omar Hasan Mohammad, 20, and Shadi Rafiq Saeed Habboub, 25, were shot dead east of Beit Hanoun.
An IOF spokesman claimed soldiers had spotted during the night two suspects crawling toward the fence, in a prohibited zone that has been the scene of numerous attacks. The soldiers opened fire and the two bodies were recovered Saturday morning, he said, without elaborating whether arms or explosives had been found on them.
Separately, Haaretz reported that an Israeli soldier was lightly wounded Saturday during a patrol in the southern Gaza Strip, near the border between Israel and Egypt.
Early Sunday, the IOF invaded Aidah and Doha refugee camps near the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem and detained at least ten Palestinians.
On Friday, Israeli occupation forces killed six Palestinians, including a ten-year-old child.
Mohammad Mahmoud al-Qayed, 10, was killed by an Israeli tank shell in the Gaza Strip near the illegal Jewish settlement of Nahal Oz while hunting for birds, together with a few others of his playmates near the border between the Strip and Israel, Palestinian medics said.
Meanwhile, Palestinians marked Sunday, November 9, the massacre that the AmericanIsraeli terrorist Baruch Goldstein committed in the southern West Bank city of Hebron when he, armed with an automatic rifle, mowed down dozens of Muslim worshipers as they knelt in prayer at al-Haram al-Ibrahimi mosque before taking his own life.
Palestinian campaigners also were expected Sunday to be joined by peace activists across the world to denounce the construction of the Apartheid Wall Israel is building on the occupied West bank land, to coincide with the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall on November 9.

Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi Speaks: Life in Palestine
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Monday, November 10 2003 @ 06:31 PM EST
"Barghouthi is Founder and Director of the Health, Development Information and Policy Institute in Ramallah and he is President of the Palestinian Medical Relief Committee .."
By SONIA NETTNIN
On Sunday, Dr. Mustafa Barghouthi (MD, MSc) gave a presentation about life in Palestine at Ya Hala Restaurant in Chicago Ridge, IL.
November 9th marked the international day of protest against Israels Wall of Separation. Barghouthis presentation illustrated the stats-and-facts about the health and economy of the Palestinian people.
President of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, Mary Rose Oakar, spoke at the event. She talked about Arab-American values, such as love of God, family, mosque or church, country, and roots. Moreover, she discussed the promotion of peace, fairness and justice for humanity. She said: We want our voices heard in a non-violent way.
Oakar encouraged people to contact members of Congress because every phone call and letter represents hundreds and thousands of Americans who feel the same way. She said: The white house belongs to you as much as it belongs to the President of the United States.
The ADC declared November Palestine Action Month.
Barghouthi is Secretary of the Palestinian National Initiative (Mubadara). According to a handout provided at his presentation, it states: The Palestinian National Initiative is a movement that came as a response to popular demands from men and women calling for increased participation by Palestinian citizens in the process of nation building and for the opportunity to participate in the just struggle for the realization of an independent, viable, democratic, and prosperous state which guarantees security, justice, equality before the law, and a dignified existence for its citizens. The initiative also calls for an unequivocal end to the Israeli occupation, removal of illegal Israeli settlements and a just solution to the right of Palestinian refugees.
Additionally it calls for immediate international protection to allow democratic elections at all levels of the political system, and reform of political, administrative and other institutional structures in order to meet the needs of the Palestinian people. (http://www.almubadara.org)
Barghouthi is Founder and Director of the Health, Development Information and Policy Institute in Ramallah and he is President of the Palestinian Medical Relief Committee. Internationally known, Dr. Barghouthi has interviewed on CNN, BBC, ABC, and other international news agencies.
We have reached a point when the compromise cannot be compromised, Barghouthi said. Regardless of the suffering, the people our steadfast and they will not break our will.
On average, three Palestinian are killed every day. Palestinian children killed total 495 year-to-date, including a 3-month-old infant girl named Duniya. People disabled total 2500 -- 500 who are children. Since the Second Intifada, 100 Palestinian children have lost their eyes to rubber bullets, which can penetrate the skull. In some instances, it happened while they sat in school. According to Barghouthis presentation, rubber-coated metal bullets used to control demonstration are excessive and inappropriate.
Over the last, three years, 292 Palestinians have been assassinated; 142 were bystanders, meaning unintended victims; 33 were children and 25 were woman. Over 40 per cent of Palestinian men have been to jail, including a 12-year-old boy from Jericho. He is incarcerated in deplorable conditions he has tried to kill himself three times. Since the Second Intifada, 2000 Palestinian children have been imprisoned. At present, more than 360 children are currently incarcerated in Israeli detention centers and prisons.
Health care is under siege constantly. Ambulances are attacked with patients in them and are crushed by Israeli tanks. Since September 2000, 121 ambulances have been destroyed beyond repair. Injured people have been denied access in 991 reported cases; 27 children (17 newborns) were prevented medical treatment at checkpoints; 53 women have given birth at checkpoints because they were prevented from reaching medical facilities; 25 medical personnel have been killed and 425 medical personnel have been injured. In numerous instances, many people are left to bleed to death.
Finally, nine journalists who covered the conflict have been shot and killed as well.
The psychological impact is tremendous. According to Barghouthis presentation, 93 per cent of the children feel unsafe or exposed to attacks; 48 per cent have experienced violence. The destruction of houses is psychological terror because the experience remains with the children for the rest of their lives. Rafah has had 7523 homes razed from the ground 12000 in Gaza.
As a result, 75 per cent of Palestinians live in poverty their daily income is less than two US dollars per day. During this past week, Israel invaded ten communities curfews are one of the root-causes of social and economic destructions. Its the first time in human history that a people are prevented from using their own roads and streets, Barghouthi said. Israels strangulation of the Palestinian economy has caused 60 per cent unemployment among the Palestinian labor force.
The rate of unemployment is one of the highest in the world, Barghouthi said. Sharon is conducting an internal transfer.
Barghouthi referred to the wall as the Israeli instrument that isolates Palestinian communities. He sees it as true ethnic cleansing because it affects social and economic health. It is the worst kind of apartheid that has erupted in human history . . . in the 21st century. The wall will isolate 600,000 Palestinian from health care and education. In essence, the wall creates enclave communities or ghettoes.
We cannot allow Israel to conduct ethic cleansing, Barghouthi said. We need help to help these people survive.
Thousands of dunums of Palestinian land have had their olive and citrus trees uprooted to tree stumps and barrenness. The construction of the wall alone has destroyed 102,320 trees.
Barghouthi emphasized strong international support to correct the imbalance in the region. A sovereign Palestinian state must be real, Barghouthi stated. Moreover, he said that he Palestinian case has become the case or the cause of national liberation worldwide.
The strategy of the Palestinians is to show that the cost of the occupation is much higher than the benefits, for all people. He stated that he knows Israel is suffering. Sustenance of the occupation has cost Israel $23 billion US dollars and 300,000 Israelis have emigrated out of Israel; their GDP capita decreased by twelve per cent.
Barghouthis hope is that the educated and talented people in the international community will become an important force for the cause. The Palestinian people have not given up hope international intervention can change the power formula for peace. We are so optimistic about the future, Barghouthi said.
According to Barghouthi, there are three conditions for success: belief in ourselves; reliance on ourselves to take initiative; and overcoming differences through democratic means. He sees the youth as the most powerful instruments in the cause.
We have created the human force, the force of the people. We have to transform the Palestinian power that weve created in the PNI, Barghouthi said. We will never give up unless we have our freedom, independence, rights, and dignity.

Eh I have a question!
What's your point? Anybody who's interested can read the latest (UNbiased) news himself. Should I post that sleeping pic again...
there is nothing biased about the articles i posted. They're simply facts. what's biased about the fact that on average, 3 palestinians are killed everyday. You know, the next time information is posted about the number of deaths in the latest suicide bombing, i should just accuse the fact of being biased. I should be more like you.

Hey you Zionists, shut up and get back to your evil occupation efforts!
Palestinian, ever heard of condensing articles to emphasize the important part? You know, putting up 20 pages of text just to say 3 palestinians are killed every day in the conflict is simply too much text to prove such a point.

Let's try to cut down the second article I posted into statistics:

If my articles are too long, then don't read them.
Izzy showed you some footage. So what? I can show you some footage too. Apart from the narration of Izzy's footage, what you saw was true. I didn't call it fake or biased. But you guys will call anything posted by Palestinian sources biased. You won't even consider it. You won't even acknowledge the statistical facts that I can bring you from many other sources as well. You're pathetic. You live in denial. You're a waste of time.

I Dont get something, someone posts about Israeli death toll and he gets flamed for not considering the Palestinians.
But if the sweet innocent pure Palestinian posts about deaths of Palestinians, no one gives a shit... fascinating.
I Still wonder how people like Hardcore Trancer can beso blind to the fact the children ARE carrying bombs and throw grenades at tanks.
I wish you could understand how much your people hate Arrafat and they wish he would die and not be in charge over them.
This is not a lie nor is it a new fact, Palestinians are mostly good people, and I know becuase I have interracted with them in many occasions, sure there is a medium precentage of Terrorstis but there are good people from the arab culture in Israel.
Too bad you make statements such as "Long live Arrafat" coz you seem very intelligent judging by the way you speak, yet you continue to feed us with total bullshit and excuses that "Shahid means warrior who fights for his land", yeah maybe thats the official definition, but we all know that when Arrafat yells "1000 shahihds are going to Jerusalem" means 1000 suicide bombers.
You failed to convince me.
If you were to visit Israel and ask the palestinians in Ramallah if they like Arrafat, I guarantee that most of them will tell you they hate him, they simply wont say anything beacuse hes a dictator, like Husein was, and remember how after he was deported everyone was happy, I assure you if Arrafat will be deported the Palestinians will be in bliss.

Never have I said all childrens are terrorists.
And never have I said all Palestinians/Arabs are bad people, my mother worked with arabs for years and they respected each other, arabs are very polite civilised people when it comes to human relations.
No, I dont think Sharon is a saint, and of course there is a part who doesnt like him or his actions.
Yes Arrafat is popular among several palestinian populations but the majority do not like him becuase he doesnt give a shit about his people, he doesnt provide them with health services or take care for the hungry families and that is a FACT!
