Hard Trance Current Top 5

Hi evryone. This is my first post. I would like to know your favorite tracks that fit the above title (or similar) descritption. These sounds you might hear spun/produced/remixed by the likes of Johan Gielen, Kai Tracid, Marco V, Scot Project, Dumonde, Tomcraft, Don Diablo, Dave202 and others. The sound is hard, bass-filled, high-energy trance.

"Hard Trance"

What are your current top 5?

Me-->
1)Maurio Picotto - new time new place
2)Ricky Fobis - No regular
3)Tomcraft - Brainwashed (Laurent Konrad Mix)
4)M.I.K.E. vs. John '00' Fleming - Ice Cream (M.I.K.E. Remix)
5)M.O.R.P.H. - Creatures (cory finjeman mix)

Let me know what you have!!

Gielen isn't hard trance.

Check out:
Armani & Ghost - Airport
Basic Dawn - Pure Thrust (Nu-NRG Remix)
DJ Slideout - Reflection (La Cargo Remix)
Flutlicht - Icarus (S.H.O.K.K. Mix)
Flutlicht - The Fall (Deep Fall Mix) <--- Best of the lot
G&M Project - Control Of Your Mind (Flutlicht Remix)
S.H.O.K.K. - Isn 't It All A Little Strange (Flutlicht Remix)
Shockwave - Missing The Beat

Most of it is from earlier this year. I've fallen behind on hard trance releases lately.

correct me if i'm wrong.. isn't that umm tech-trance?

also.. i never knew mauro picotto made hard trance productions

Tech-Trance is another name (my preferred name actually) but I thought more people would respond to "hard trance". In fact, hard trance is more along the lines of psy-trance. I personally am trying to define a genre named "bassline trance" that combines dirty d&b basslines as the melody, with a hard, tech-trance build-up.

About maurio picatto - you're right, he usually doesn't produce this type of music. The track "new time - new place" is a co-op with another producer....

ANYONE know the name of the second producer??? I couldn't think of it off the top of my head, but this track is SICK!!! Check it out for sure!

hahahahaha you yank n00bs crack me up at times. fact is mate, none of wot u put down are actually hard trance bar maybe No Regular. also they are all pretty much entirely different types of trance. Hard trance and tech trance are certainly not the same thing.
here's a few recent (proper) hard trancers :

Thomas Rubin - Cold Night (DJ Scot Project Remix)
Technoboy - War Machine (Hardstyle influences but def hard trance imo)
Dark By Design - Blackout
Dave Joy - Third Pleasure (Uberdruck Remix)
Hennes & Cold - Can't Have Enough

geezz.. i have enough of hardtrance.. Hey Could you please go listen to Hardcore/Gabber first before you tell me your top 5 hardtrance? thank you.

Although many of us seem to disagree about style names, the point of the thread was to get some names coming up. Hard trance, tech-trance, energy trance, and hardstyle trance... post your favorites here. Any type really, just with some intensity, ok? Lets not argue genres and styles, I admit, my orignal post may have been a bit misleading.

Thanks to those posting tracks.

TwoPlow--> Good stuff, very much the sound of my cd mixed in august, so a bit outdated, as you know.

DJRaveMonkey--> You're right. But as I said above, I am trying to get people to respond. I will choose my wording carefully next time. Thanks for the tracks, heard H&C and the project remix. Waiting on the dave joy uberdruck... that'll be sick.

StalkerElmo--> Whatever man, the second response to my thread the guy didn't know it was co-produced (and said correct him if he's wrong). Not everyone here knows as much as you do, and some know more, so lighten up.

Sketch--> You're right -> Mauro Picotto & Riccardo Ferri - New Time, New Place

These tracks are what I consider "Hard Trance"

Guyver - Serious Sound
Lee Haslam - Music Is The Drug
Beam vs Cyrus - Thunder In Paradise (DJ Scot Project Remix)
DJ Darkzone - Infinity In Your Hands
Dutch Courage - Slammin
Nexus - Next (Long Version)
Perfect Phase - Slammer Jammer (Warp Brothers Remix)
Jez & Charlie - Its About Music
Sureno - Guideline

In fact, hard trance is more along the lines of psy-trance.

And btw....there is a BIG difference between "Psy-Trance" and "Hard Trance"

Posted by infinity0908 on Nov-12-2003 02:58:

yeah hard-trance is more like hard-house than psy-trance

Posted by Icesotope on Nov-12-2003 02:58:

Shame / Disagreement MY GENRE!

Sorry, I'm not hear to argue. I'm just feeling stupid, wether all this years of thosands of thousands of songs that i heard is suppose to be in the correct different genres and sub-genres are right. For me, It could be wrong.

DJ Scot Project could be tech-house because all music starts from house and "techno", DJ Paul & Gizmo could be Eurodance because its from europe and it's a dance music. Sander Kleinenberg could be hardhouse! its beacues some of his tracks are dubsotatiously hard! and he compose house music! Technoboy is techno because of its name. Lastly, E-Type and Ice MC are trance because it has a melody!

Lets see this is my top 5 hardtrance
1: ATB - Killer (Awefully hardstuff)
2: Dream Catcher - I Dun Wanna Loose my way (Divide & Rule Mix)<--- The Hi-hats are hard..so it is hardtrance
3: BK & James Lawson - Calm Before the storm (its fast its hard and has a melody)well hardtrance!
4: 666 - Dance 2 Disco (DJ Piccolo Remix) <---the beats are hard and again has a melody..Another hardtrance
5: DJ Promo - Life From The Otherside <---for those who has hear this track it has a very nice melody..so..another hardtrance!

You know now i can feel the stupidity that is flowing through my mind. Seriously speaking. Genre Concepts is one of the worst topic in Trance Addict. So be it.

If you want my (TRUELY) top 5 of October, you can have it

1: Hennes & Cold - Evacuation<--- Very Nice Synths!
2: Blyant & Tusch - Hellfire (DJ Splint Vs. Tukan Remix)<---and old track original samples by 200 Degrees - Hellfire
3: Balthazar Feat. Sara - Insanity (DJ Jam X & Deleon's Dumonde Dub Mix)
4: C4 - Bla Bla Bla (berdruck Remix)<--Bla Bla bla Bla BLa!!
5: Yoji Biomehanika - Hardstyle Disco (Trance Generators Remix) <---Sounds Like a Sega Genesis Game

Posted by StalkerElmo on Nov-12-2003 03:23:
