Visiting Melbourne
Is that how it's spelled? Anyway, going there tomorrow and would like to know where i could go records/dj gear shopping. Also would like to see final scratch in action so is that possible? I'll be there for a week so the longer the list the less bored i'll get.
Cheers!
Hey check out the 5AM & UNIFY - join forces to rock ROOM FRI 14th NOV thread. That's Melbourne's Uplifting trance night. RE: Record stores, I've only been 2 1 down there, when I was there for a day, and it was LOADED with prog, called DMC in Prahn.
Sure one of the guys will get on here @ some stage soon (tomorrow).
Maybe check back whilst u're over here

Record stores:
DMC in Commercial Rd, Prahan. Tis just off Chapel St. It's all prog n dnb out the back.
Vinyl Rebel in Commercial Rd, Prahan. Further up from DMC, tis all house there.
Rhythm and Soul in Grevel St, Prahan or Little Collins in the City All house there, bitta prog too.
Obese Records in Grevel St, Prahan Tis actually a bit off Grevel, but if you like hiphop, check this place out.
For trance, i dunno where you should go as i never buy the shit
I think the best place in Melb for it would be Central Station Records Its quite a large place, tis underground n the entrance is between Collins St and Little Collins St on Swanston. Here they stock a bit of everything. Fair bitta trance, house, breaks, techno etc.

OneStop DeeJay in Prahran is probably the best PLace for trance in inner melb.
Central Station (swantson st - City) has some good tunes
Rythym and soul in greville st prahran has a lot of excellent prog and have started to get some trance in.
umm and yeah friday night come along to rOOm...its gunna be a blast
Or you could just check www.vinylwarning.com.au, nuff said! ![]()
Thanks to all! I'm now in Melbourne..Had a chance to visit central station but nothing interesting. All their stuffs are quite pricey...it's probably even cheaper to buy from UK and have them shipped over. You can literally see the whole city in a day here. It's going to be a long weekend
No offense to any of you though!
