Upcoming hardware synths ?
I went to my local hardware shop and I asked the dude about upcoming synths, before summer 2004. He said there's probably going to be a new virus released, and some other brands releasing some stuff. You guys have any clue if there's anything worth waiting for ?
did you see the nordlead 2x? Its a beefed up nordlead 2. I am enjoying my jp 8080, I wish they would make a new one like that but with more multi and poly. I wouldnt be suprised to see a new virus next year.
isn't there a nord 3?
I bet there will be a new Virus very soon. The new OS update for the C makes it practically a new synth. The Virus is just sick, I don't care how many people have it or how many say it's overused.
A synth that really isn't getting that much attention in the Trance world is the Alesis Ion. This has to be the best sounding Virtual Analog I've ever heard. It can sound analog or virtual, whatever you want. That is not to say it's the best (no onboard effects to speak of, limited polyphony). The Ion is the new synth to have. Now if they can just get the bugs worked out of the OS, create better arp patterns and make a rack version with more polyphony, I see it as becoming an absolute classic.

NO. I refuse them to make an update to the virus C.
if they made a new virus, maybe the price in the virus C would come down.. AHH (sigh)
wouldn't go down too much, the B is still expensive.
