Poem..

THE PASTURE by Robert Frost

I'm going out to clean the pasture spring;
I'll only stop to rake the leaves away
(And wait to watch the water clear, I may):
I shan't be gone long. -- You come too.
I'm going out to fetch the little calf
That's standing by the mother. It's so young,
It totters when she licks it with her tongue.
I shan't be gone long. -- You come too.

How do you interpret this poem? Or what does it say to you?

I think he is talking about fucking a giraffe with a glass bottle.

ah, robert frost... very beautiful stuff, but hard to interpret, at least for me.

he's talking about raking the leaves (the old) to give way for the grass (the new) yet he wants to take the baby away from the mother... but why? is this a social commentary on parenting?
