Question Some of the coolest VST Plugins?

What are some of your favorite VST Plugins? Especially those that you know give good effects when making trance music. I've heard Atmosphere is pretty good. Any other ones that you can recommend? Thanks!

Atmosphere is not a plug-in, its an instrument.

The ohm force filter was heaps cool but it had some issues with my CPU.

Waves Mastering Bundle is great for (you know what...) mastering....
If you look around, search for "scuzzphut" on this board and you'll find a very good vst effect for percussions

As for instruments, just look at the thread that's stickied or you check out my thread on free VST synths

I've never been able to really get into the Izotope interfaces. You can get quality sound from them, but their interfaces just seem to be badly organized. It's like they try to do too much with them or something. Trasher suffers from the same problems as Ozone...

You will have to excuse my ignorance in this matter. I guess I'm a little confused and could use some clarification as to the difference between VST and VSTi. Is it just that VSTi is a virtual instrument and VST is a plugin? I've recently started using Albeton Live 3.0 and it has support for VSTs but it states it does not support VST instruments. So does this mean I could use VSTs like Ozone that are effects, reverb, that kind of thing, but I could NOT use VSTs like Scorpion or Atmosphere because they are VSTis? I would need a program such as Cubase SX in order to use VSTis correct? Thanks for any clarification.

xls, for izotope ozone there is great manual (i dont know where i downloaded it. probably on official page) which explains almost everything and maybe that's why i like it
but i agree, interface could be little better
