Posted by torontotrance on Nov-13-2003 15:21:

Posted by Teraform on Nov-13-2003 15:23:

I love the GU series...
013, & 014 are my personal favorites.
The first two Prototype records are also very good. Best stuff seb Fontaine has ever done. IMO.

Oakie went downhill and its true, he'll never be his pre 2000 self, but he's been getting better lately....Frankly though, he should not get a GU for a while

lot of the prog heads are blaming him for killing the prog scene by brining all these "noobs" into it.

meh...

just out of curiosity, and my lack of markus schulz knowledgde, why is that?

and yes! a Copenhagen GU would be ace

Posted by globalgirl on Nov-13-2003 20:53:

Actually Markus Schulz is releasing a cd with Armada in February.
Universal Religion II??

Dont know the name of the cd yet.

Posted by torontotrance on Nov-13-2003 20:54:

then again gu026 is on it's way but the deejays who know cannot say who it is. I just don't feel markus schulz would fit into the gu mold then again...does any deejay?

Smiley DJ john digweed

I have, and always will; love john digweed's GU 006, Sydney.

I agree. Paul is the one im thankful for because it was GU 007 that got me into techno. But his older shit is much better than the new. Most of the newer cds i bought of his are almost exactly the same.Bummer.

But back to the topic: I've been hearing alot of Ferry Corsten lately and loved it, so i would'nt mind seeing Ferry in Sydney on the shelves

Posted by jester on Nov-13-2003 21:24:

That would be nice if Markus was part of GU.

Posted by Dublin Guy on Nov-13-2003 21:35:

GU - James Holden - Dublin

that wud be sound

Posted by Psionic on Nov-13-2003 21:55:

Rumor has it GU 026 is Sasha in Peru...

Posted by goose_wh on Nov-13-2003 22:09:

A trance GU in the mould of Ferry is highly unlikely i feel (as mint it would be).

Oakie has been getting better imo, well by that i mean Great wall was a pretty top CD. theyll give it a bit before he gets another GU (though i would like to eat my words if he did one that bettered his recent Great Wall comp).

Posted by slinkyhead on Nov-13-2003 22:57:

i prefer the Nick Warren and Tony De Vit GU's

especially Nick Warren - Brazil and VFR - Tranceillusion what a tune

those two are his best stuff. I dont know how to burn these two cds without the few seconds gap between the songs so everytime they get scratched pretty bad I end up buying them again, im on my third time around.
