So we are gonna be in there for awhile.... I also wonder how much time will they give if they never find him and they assume he dies of natural causes.

It'll also be interesting to see how Iraq is managed as the next election comes around. It seems to me that he's already bowing to pressure. Hence we see more talk about scaling back US forces and scaling up Iraqi police, and the most recent plan to speed up the transfer of power.

His political future will take precedent over the people of Iraq... i guarantee.

One of the reasons Bush is still getting support from people is the pockets of resistance in Iraq and the fact that they havn't found saddam yet. People might be scared that if the U.S pulls out early the resistance might seize power again and bring Saddam back thus wasting all the money and effort that has gone into the war.

Chances are the US Army has already found Saddam OR if they DO find him they won't kill or arrest him but will wait until Bush can fully use the Saddam excuse to feed the Propaganda machine therby wining more support.
